I honestly think that seeing some representation of early muskets could fit the game if technology comes back. However, I think stuff like crossbows, pikes and more late medieval/renaissance weapons would be awesome.

I don't want them to just be stronger weapons, I want them to be functionally different. Like give crossbows better accuracy and bullet speed, change hammers to be able to bypass armor, make other weapons that pierce armor. They could be early muskets, they can be inaccurate and reload really slowy.

It's not too hard. You just need to put down an Angle Tower, click on an angle, give them the brain traits and let them set up a civ.

Then across the world, do the same thing with demons.

Then make them go to war and click on the war tab so the game knows you've "seen" it

there was a small but prosperous foxfolk city that the nearby Orcs then took over

however, the city's orcish rulers then broke off into an independent nation before enough of them migrated in to really displace the local population

a few hundred years later I look back in, the city remains heavily populous but the ruling Orcish class is still far outnumbered

I take a look at the culture and language mapmode and at some point the Orcs had actually adopted the customs of the foxes

they also all have the religion of the now-extinct Dwarves, because the same orcs who conquered the foxes also went in on the dwarves- the dwarves had a religion, the orcs lacked one, and so the dwarven religion spread through the early orcish conquests including the foxes

spellcasting and combat skill are just how likely a unit will perform either a spell (teleport, summon skeletons, etc, NOT a plot) and a combat action (dodging, blocking, etc)

I just found out if you make a unit small enough they actually grow then flip upside down. I used the gene editor and trait picker.

Great, but it doesn't make sense that you can modify the clan of x person to include someone who is not a descendant.

Yes, but even now there are times when descendants fail to enter due to luck or because they have a limit.
