I hate it

In my first 2 days, I was just making simple maps in Worldbox, because I had this hate gut against maps made in third party tools and then converted.

Especially since I can't upload my maps to the steam workshop because they're too large or not square, or both

After that, I decided to try out making maps in paint.net, and having already had very solid experience with the app, it ended up to be a fun experience and I just started loving them.

And obviously since maps made in Worldbox will look naturally worse than mostly perfect maps made in third party tools, there's a very noticeable change in the look and feel of my maps.

Hopefully that clears some things.

North Africa is mostly uninhabitable though

It's pretty much just desert

65% desert 20% hills and mountains 15% habitable land

The inhabitable portion of North Africa is just a sliver of land right next to the Mediterranean coast

And some in the south

Morocco has a bit more and so does Tunisia, but that's all

If you go far south enough for there to be inhabitable land, that's no longer North Africa

Algeria does too has well has the null river in egypt

Algeria's inhabitable land is also a tiny sliver of land next to the coast and same for Egypt plus the tiny sliver of inhabitable land next to the Nile and some tiny scattered oases

The point is, due to how concentrated all that inhabitable land is, any North African map is not going to be playable in Worldbox

There aren't even going to be any valid settlement establishment spots due to how tiny all those inhabitable lands are in North Africa

And I know, I already made a full Africa map

19x10 is too high iirc to be the line.

Iceberg is 12x12 and my solid phone doesn't have access to it.

I'd say the line is somewhere around 15x15 or 15x15 but that's just my estimate.

In my case, I place the threshold between mobile friendly and non mobile friendly maps at 10x10

so 100 chunks

Just keep in mind that the converter program hasn't been updated to the very latest update

so no arcane desert, crystal biome, lemon biome, etc.

the only problem really would just be rivers

then you select the transparent area and invert your selection

Dithering is purely a visual aesthetic option, it has no real bearing on the actual file itself

Which program did you use? There were two converters bundled in the zip archive.
