These are all the land types - Sand, Soil, Forest, Hills, Mountains BUT SNOWY - Do you think if I converted them as an image in #🔁map-conversion they would collide?

As long as they have the exact RGB values, they will convert to the proper terrain even if you put them right next to each other.

I also have another version of the Westeros map with the different kingdoms already on it, but I have yet to post it because the change to border expansion (which made it so that villages can take territory from neighbouring villages that don't have buildings on them) keeps messing up the borders once you run it.

Any good way to make an area forested but low population density? I don't like the idea of making Siberia or similar places flat grassland with no food or trees, but it seems like if I don't the population density will go way up.

You can always cover it up with snow

I think (but I'm not sure) that growth rates for trees is less on snowy forests than normal forests

either way, some civilisations won't even settle on just snowy forests. And in my experience, snowy areas are low in population anyways

also, fun way to limit population, have a relatively inaccessible ice giant castle somewhere that the local population can't kill, but won't be too dangerous to the village

I needed ~32 gigs of ram to run a 100x100 map I just generated, empty. and it lagged with a 5950x and an RTX 3090, so I kinda doubt you can while having a pleasant experience, without heavy modifications to the source code (both the CPU and GPU went highly underutilized) 🤷

1. Download "Explorer" file explorer from google play (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.speedsoftware.explorer)
2. Open the app and allow it to manage files
3. Find Android folder and open it, also open data file
4. You'll see some popup, touch yes and also touch "use this folder" at bottom without opening any files that are showing
5. If you have succeeded, the app will have access to android file

your new map is pretty nice, the maps loo cleaner when there's no wood but round biome edges can look sorta unnatural so you can use vortex to blend the forest and grass but too much vortex can also make it look unnatural
