2. Press Open in... then save to files
3. Select the worldbox folder then the saves folder
4. Press the 3 dots button next to save and create new folder
5. Rename that folder to save1 or any other valid number.
6. Open that folder and press save.

Ideas on how to blend the ocean and the lava? I want a hellish edge to this side of the world. Not necessarily any villages there, maybe some demon towers to make people regret teleporting there

I got that bright red terrain by cooling lava. I think it's because I have eternal lava turned on?

I'm thinking of drawing patterns with evil walls. I used them to fill gaps between the lava on the right, but I think there's something more I could do to make the border between sea and lava pop! And not just by simply walling the lava, that would be boring. Some kind of blend

And there's going to be some kind of "tendrils" from the lava reaching out to touch the world. Still not sure how I want that to look

fun fact! Map sizes are squares purely so the preview.png looks nice in saves. The capability to generate maps of any size is in the game code just never utilized to the fullest potential

I'm trying to make a border accurate map that is small enough to run on low end devices and I've met a problem while making russia. I either make it disconnected to the rest of asia or I stretch it vertically and it becomes an absolute behemoth in size. What should I do in order to fix it?

(And yes, I know I say "border accurate" but it removes a lot of countries, but its because they're too small to fit on the map)

Some phones can handle up to maps of up to a land area of 150, with likely performance decreases if the map has a large population and amount of vegetation. Therefore, maps within these restrictions are what's usually considered "mobile friendly".
However, keep in mind that "mobile friendly" doesn't mean that it's always good for your specific phone, pay attention to aspects like the map.wbox KB/MB size and compare it to what your specific phone was already able to run in the past. The definition for "mobile friendly" is just an average, there's always going to be better phones that can also run huge maps and worse phones that even struggle with iceberg.

Update: Finished Chogoris, Baal, Colchis, Medusa, Caliban, the Eye of Terror and changed the perspective of Terra to Asia so that I can add the imperial palace. Going to finish up the rest of the planets, Add more cosmic looking detail to the galaxy and work on Gothic font to label everything

Well, from what I heard it has the same problem as minecraft, its made in a way that doesn't fully utilize the pc's capabilities

They used an app and just painted it in, I don't think they actually went into worldbox and made the map unless they did and just used the map conversion.

Also I don't get why some map creators like boki add these super annoying spam of single tiles instead of just making it a flat biome

What I mean is is when they try to place a bunch of random savanna tiles in the desert instead of just having it as just savvana in a spot and desert in a spot so civs and animals don't delete the tiles forever

Usually I refrain from adding mountains at all but that creates a problem where humans pretty much walk in straight lines when theyre going to fight in wars

There is no terrain evasion or strategy or enviromental effect

Just walk from point A to B in a straight line and shoot the enemy

I add a fractal, use a few blurs and color reduction

How to unlock the Debug Tools/Debug Menu:

1. Press the "Game Settings" button (the one with a ⚙️ icon) besides the achievements button, in the main tab of the game.
2. After clicking the button, it will open up a menu called "Other". In this menu, you will see another button called "Settings" (once again with a ⚙️ icon), click that button too to enter the settings.
3. "Settings" is The menu that contains some stuff like Interface/UI, Audio, and Graphics settings. Ignore all of those and focus on the burger icon in top left corner of the settings window.
4. Click that burger 11 times until a green bug appears in top right corner of your screen, and done! Clicking the button takes you to the games Debug Menu!

not really, imo, it's more about transition of biomes than the biome you place, like, after placing a certain biome, you will want to make it look natural, then you start blending it in each other with a few strands of a certain terrain to another, as if they are fighting for space

like, i could place demonic terrain near mountains and decend with some nightmare ones

While you could also argue that the source is a underground deposit, for the proportions, if this is europe + mediterrain size, wouldn't match.

But it's quite easy to fix if you make small hills nearby and just stream from them to the middle

Either use steam to find them, subscribe to the map you want, and open it in game or download it and insert it into another existing save (this will delete the save!) for more help I’d check either YouTube or #🚑help-chat

How to access the worldbox data folder on android 11 to 13.
If steps below don't work or android 14+ use these alternative methods :

1. Download a third-party application like "File Manager" from google play,
2. Now go to your phone’s "settings" application, after that find/search an factory system application called "Files" (has a darker blue background with a big white folder in the center of the icon), then click it,
3. you will be showed the "app info" screen after clicked the "Files" application, find the three dots button,
4. After you see the three dots button, click the three dots button and then if it has an "uninstall updates" option there, make sure to choose the option (wait until the uninstalling process is done and completed to avoid a mistake),
5. Now open the third-party application (File Manager) and allow it to manage files,
6. Find the "Android" folder and open it, then open the data folder,
7. You'll see some popup, touch "ok"/"yes" and also touch the "use this folder" button at bottom without opening any files that are showing,
8. If you have succeeded, the app will now have access to android file and can enter the saves folder in "com.mkarpenko.worldbox" folder.

Blending is excellent. Really flows well with everything. Nice and open too, which is good for actual playability.

i used mostly forest terrain cuz lower terrain doesn't spawn enough trees to satisfy my vision

so color blending is a must

@trim bobcat maybe make the planets a bit bigger, there is a lot of empty space. Also, you can use singularity swamp biome to make portals. If you want more hints, I have a map making guide https://discord.com/channels/522561390330904585/1389796348093792319 but overall it’s a good first map

Yes making the planets bigger is what I thought too. But for the portals I find that using waterways makes it feel more scientific, like the boats are spaceships. But I have seen people use singularity swamps to make it, and it indeed is good. Thanks for the feedback!

I agree! More planets would help a lot, but also I think making them bigger could (kind of) do the same thing. Its just, in my map I made the planets the four real inner planets, Mars, Earth, Venus, and Mercury, so I only included 4
