If you own a PC, you can install maps on iOS as described in this guide: #1213490166023331850 message .
Otherwise, if you only have your iOS device, it's impossible to install maps on iOS because the operating system refuses to give you access to the game files that you'd need to insert the map into.

you can't. At most, you can open debug tool and click "unlimited House limit" and they'll start building houses almost everywhere

7. You'll see some popup, touch "ok"/"yes" and also touch the "use this folder" button at bottom without opening any files that are showing,

Anyway, if you wanted it to be even more fancy, You could go into Azgaar, set all lakes and rivers to the specific hex value that you have for shallow water.

Then it automatically makes rivers for you.

Then you could get rid of all the texturing in the water and the map, and all other artifacts besides the biomes. Then you get export the biome map. With that biome map you're able to take the hex values of those colors then put it into the map bot in this server, and it automatically puts the biomes in the correct areas.

You get something like this

With the biomes following the rivers

There's still artifacts to clean up, but with some (for me hours of) work, you can get rid of most of the creative part of making maps

Here's a really funky one with a lot of artifacts around the edges

You need to make a custom style to minimize artifacts and stray pixels

Only enable the minimum things, and make sure you don't have transparency ruining things

If you want to do biomes, you need to decide what Azgaar biomes to connect with what WB biomes

One thing that already makes really interesting things is just running a heightmap

i just threw this together but maybe think of it as “illusion of depth”— keep in mind you don’t look straight down at the map, it’s more like a 45* angle if that makes any sense (if it was straight down, all you’d see would be the tops of heads and stuff)

Think of what a house in the game looks like, you see the front of it but not the back of it— here you’ve drawn the mountains where you can see both sides of low elevation and the peak in the center; the “front” side should be larger compared to the “back” side, the “peak” should have a kinda sharpness to it

—long story short, try drawing the mountains as a 2D image and use the 4 levels of elevation (5 if you include snow) to illustrate depth; don’t focus on the mountain region being navigationally accurate (like having both sides of low altitude equal to each other in magnitude)

Unfortunately none of the linked softwares provide a method to combine heightmaps and biome maps like the discord bot. I really wish they would just release the discord map converter as an application that can be locally installed as it's by far the best map converter out there, but for the sake of both privacy and the bot's image size limit it should be available for download so it can be run locally without the image size restrictions.

Otherwise, if you only have your iOS device, it's impossible to install maps on iOS because the operating system refuses to give you access to the game files that you'd need to insert the map into.

You assign colors to
deep ocean, close ocean, shallow water, sand, low soil, high soil, hills, mountains, snow mountains. (Represents elevation)
Input image for that.
Then code assigns the respective tiles to the closest color on image
Then you have a biome map image, and ya assign colors for that for whatever tiles u want

Then that applies biomes to the low soil and high soil of the first image

If you are too lazy to read, then first go to C:\Users[USER]\AppData\LocalLow\mkarpenko\WorldBox. Add the map file to the save [number] folder if it does not exist. Save 8, save 9, and so on. The number indicates the position in the menu.

It's a geographic advantage for some civilizations.

I understand that mountains like those in Scotland are useless and I believe it's okay to remove them, but those that are largely responsible for the separation of states to this day... Damn.
