Yeah, it's quite easy

There are two ways:
Easy One

-Create a save in the game
-Download ZArchiver
-Download a map
-Use ZArchiver and open Downloads and copy Map
-The go to android, go to data, and look for worldbox
-Open the save file and look at which number the save file is and paste, the map will be overwritten by the downloaded map you copy and pasted

Hard One (for phones like mine that deny ZArchiver Access)
-A Video on YT shows a good explanation of this, it uses iAbd and RS File explorer

Otherwise, if you only have your iOS device, it's impossible to install maps on iOS because the operating system refuses to give you access to the game files that you'd need to insert the map into.

I usually separate low grounds from forest grounds first, then use the colors in the pallete to draw any forest biome or taiga biome beforehand, skipping those from the game. All other new biomes like savannah or cursed or anything else are added in-game

There's a major difference in convenience for the average person between just adding an existing reaction and adding a new one, so not self upvoting could easily result in several lost upvotes before another user bothers to add that first upvote.

For any android map makers out there looking for a better tool than @true pelican for converting maps took Sea-Pickle's image to map code and made it compatible with pydroid.

Required apps to run:

pydroid addon
pydroid

additional instruction
Once have both apps installed open up pydroid. Swipe to the right, tap on the three horizontal bars
tap on Pip and install the pillow library

P.S.: If converting an extremely large image for some reason may want to insert this

the shoreline is too smooth, i recommend tearing some of it up, not all. Also add some smaller islands a 1/4 of the size to give it that archipelago feel.

How to access worldbox data folder on android 11 or above!

1. Download a third-party application like "File Manager" from google play
2. Now go to your phone’s "settings" application, after that find/search an factory system application called "Files" (has a darker blue background with a big white folder in the center of the icon), then click it
3. you will be showed the "app info" screen after clicked the "Files" application, find the three dots button
4. After you see the three dots button, click the three dots button and then if it has an "uninstall updates" option there, make sure to choose the option (wait until the uninstalling process is done and completed to avoid a mistake)
5. Now open the third-party application (File Manager) and allow it to manage files
6. Find the "Android" folder and open it, then open the data folder
7. You'll see some popup, touch "ok"/"yes" and also touch the "use this folder" button at bottom without opening any files that are showing
8. If you have succeeded, the app will now have access to android file and can enter the saves folder in "com.mkarpenko.worldbox" folder

For those who are waiting the long awaited update I’ve compiled a short list of all known coming features. A lotta of this comes from their worldbox twitter and official Reddit
Features:

• Create an Alliance Power.
• Combat Update: Units will have a special ability (so far elves and skeletons can dodge, so it is unsure whether this will be unique or applied to all species).
• Balancing of Weapons and a fix to empires of sticks (where highly advanced empires will keep stick weapons).
• Arrow Physics (Collision properties).
• 4 new tabs, one that’s been speculated to be a religion tab, this has yet to be confirmed but is highly hinted at. Second is what appears to be a speech bubble, speculated to be languages. Third is a heart tab speculated to be marriage. Fourth has an animal paw speculated to be animal domestication.
• Interracial conquest, other races will take over buildings of other species, this could also mean multiracial kingdoms but is unlikely.
• Unique Baby Heads?
• Stats and Graphs are coming, you’ll be able to view interesting units and view the growth of family’s, species, etc.
• Biomes (My Favorite):

• 9 New biomes!
• A Clover Biome
• A Maple Biome
• A Birch Biome
• A Flower Forest Biome
• The Rocklands Biome (gigachad biome)
• A Onion Biome
• An Unnamed Time Biome

• And there is yet another biome they have yet to tease.

• Species and Subspecies:

• Possibly UNCONFIRMED but heavily hinted at 3 new sentient species

And all of this is but the tip of the iceberg there is more yet to be seen. I’m sure they’ve got more cooking.
So don’t worry about the update take a break play something else for a few. This is a indie game and the two devs are working hard. LET THEM COOK!

There's probably a way around that. I imagined it one way, and it goes like this:

Add a 'import map' button that will give the user a modal to input the map file's url (example: https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/535208693478981632/1026879134506426449/map.wbox). The game then downloads the file and puts it somewhere in its saves folder all by itself, and boom. You've got a custom map without editing shit yourself.

But I don't actually know if you can do that with iOS, and I might be saying total nonsense

You are correct ocean is an important part of the map, however the focus was testing civ building skills rather than ocean building. Ocean flooring can make or break a map and is often overlooked.

I do need to adjust my style to these close up shots of the continents, I do plan to make more 9x9 and ocean style will most certainly change compared to this last one.

How to access worldbox data folder on android 11 or above:

1. Download a third-party application like "File Manager" from google play,
2. Now go to your phone’s "settings" application, after that find/search an factory system application called "Files" (has a darker blue background with a big white folder in the center of the icon), then click it,
3. you will be showed the "app info" screen after clicked the "Files" application, find the three dots button,
4. After you see the three dots button, click the three dots button and then if it has an "uninstall updates" option there, make sure to choose the option (wait until the uninstalling process is done and completed to avoid a mistake),
5. Now open the third-party application (File Manager) and allow it to manage files,
6. Find the "Android" folder and open it, then open the data folder,
7. You'll see some popup, touch "ok"/"yes" and also touch the "use this folder" button at bottom without opening any files that are showing,
8. If you have succeeded, the app will now have access to android file and can enter the saves folder in "com.mkarpenko.worldbox" folder.

How do you download maps on iOS they deleted z archiver

If you own a PC, you can install maps on iOS as described in this guide: #🚑help-chat message .
Otherwise, if you only have your iOS device, it's impossible to install maps on iOS because the operating system refuses to give you access to the game files that you'd need to insert the map into.
