Does anyone know how to get the files for a map you created and upload it to game bananana?

You can get the map by going to your AppData folder (you can do this by pressing Win+r to open a run window, typing %APPDATA%, which will open AppData/Roaming, from where you can click on AppData in the explorer path), and from the AppData folder, go to LocalLow -> mkarpenko -> worldbox -> saves, the saves folder contains every map that you saved. Compress the contents of the save folder that you want to upload into a .zip, and upload that to GameBanana by creating a GameBanana account if you don't have one, then going to the WorldBox page on GameBanana, then pressing the "Add" button on the menu that also lets you go to pages like "Getting started", Categories, etc, and then, select "Mod" as the type of file that you're uploading. From there, upload the .zip and fill out the other information that GameBanana asks for, and once you submit, your map will become accessible to anyone (unless you set it to private).

You'll also need more CPU power for it since a bigger map results in more space for units, resulting in more Actors for the game to process.

If you want to test if you can run the map well on your device, I'd suggest just going to a map of that size, and (if it's an empty one that you newly generated) placing a few civ units in there, going to the games debug menu, and enabling Graphy, SonicSpeed, and all of the Civ Cheats. It'll pretty quickly get you a lot of units, and the graph that Graphy enabled will show you how well your PC can handle all of the calculations.

Oh, I see. I couldn't really give a good reference value, since I'm on a Mac, and WorldBox apparently runs on Mac through some sort of emulation layer that drastically reduces performance. I could do a test when I'm near my Windows PC, but that'll take a few hours to happen.

If I recall correctly, WorldBox has some sort of Steamworks DLL dependency that makes that impossible due to a lack of silicon support from that DLL, I'm not sure though rn.

You can find maps on the WorldBox GameBanana, in #🌐map-downloads , and in #🌐✔cool-maps . Keep in mind though that if you're on iOS, as your roles say, the operating system won't allow you to access the required game files for adding maps to the game.

When you add a map to a save folder that already contained another map.wbox file, you're replacing whatever map was stored there previously with the newly added map. If you want to have both maps at once, you can simply put the map.wbox file into a different, new, save folder instead of replacing the map.wbox from another save.

A map file doesn't have nearly enough control over your game to stop mods from working.

Yes, of course, Steam stores a backup of your save files online, so when you reinstalled the game, they just grabbed your save files again from that backup.

Reinstalling the game via Steam often doesn't delete the worldbox/Mods folder, so the only thing that should be gone is NCMS itself, and once you reinstall that, all of your mods should show up again.

there isn’t an easy way to make mountains. my best advice is to look at various maps from the server and in the steam workshop, and figure out your own style you like.

also, why couldn’t you just replicate the mountains you did in these maps ? These are on a very large scale, and unless they were converted I doubt you wouldn’t be able to make them again in a similar way

• there wasn't a save folder, so i made one along with the save1 folder
• i put the map in the folder

you have to make sure the file is named "map.wbox." also, the folder has to be named "save#", except replace # with a number 1-30 that doesnt already have a save folder. so, if you have saves in slots 1-5, you would make a file called "save6"

I just wanted to point out that in the map ( #🌐map-downloads message ) that you uploaded, you called it both titanic (titanic is 8x8 btw) and 64x46 , even though neither of these two are actually how big the map is. I just wanted to point out for future reference (and maybe also if you want to correct the original message to the correct size) that worldbox just displays in your list of saves how big the map is. In the case of your map, it seems to be 20x15, as stated by the game in the attached screenshot!
