Can someone explain to me how to convert photos into maps?

Go to the "map-conversion" room, select the map you need from your images and specify the size in one message with the file (bot command "~c 10") for example. Then the bot will send you a ".wbox" file with a map

Or you can just "~c", in which case it will determine the size itself

So, working on this. I guess I want advice on how to improve it. One thing I'm working on right now is making it so the ocean is more chaotic and natural.

If it's the ocean you're worried then you may want to have proper gradient from shallow water to close ocean then deep ocean. That is how the our ocean looks like, shallow waters near the coasts

8/10 the landmass look natural not like blobs and like they are breaking apart like real continents. Maybe tone down the numbers of huge Islands and make them have more interesting shapes because they are more susceptible to erosion from the sea.

And You got nice transitions from biomes to biomes but it'll look better to have forest soils near the coast so u got darker to light transition. And add some ice on the mountains by using the permafrost biome.

And also add a bit more rivers to the Forested areas.

you will then be taken to a folder page called "Roaming". However, the thing you wanted is not there.
on top, there is a bar that should look like this:

upon opening the save folder you will be seeing all the worlds that you have been saved. if you see none, that means you havent saved any worlds yet. it's fine, just go to the world box, generate a world, and save that world in every empty saves you have. once you done that, go back, and you will see many save files. such as save1, save2, save 3, save12, etc.
open one of the save, you will see 4 files.
map.meta, map.wbox, preview.png, preview_small.png.
**dont do anything with map.meta and preview_small.png. **
pull the world you downloaded (i assume its wbox file) into the save. if the file you downloaded is already named "map.wbox", you will get a warning saying that there is another file named map.wbox, and will ask you if you wanna replace that file with the file you are trying to add. Replace it.
if the map you downloaded is not called "map.wbox", but smth else such as "amongus.wbox", or "redsus.wbox", still put it into the save. then, delete the map.wbox file thats been there alr, and rename the map file you put in into "map.wbox".

remember, ur wbox file only works if it is called EXCATLY map.wbox. things such as map(1).wbox wouldnt work

yeah just pointed out map conversion doesnt work for that

I use a modded version of the map converter in mods channel. the original software had incorrect hex values for each tile type so I had to fix that. it also requires that you make your image’s dimensions in multiples of 64 in order for it to convert properly. with the upcoming release of the game, it’ll probably have to be updated again to accommodate the newer tile types. I can dm it to you if you wish

and for example if you wanted to make a map that’s 34x34 in game, you would need to a png sized 2176 x 2176. since one unit in game is 64 pixels

the sole problem is that those people don't know how to search things up, and if they don't understand that they probably also don't know that there is a command for searching maps
