It is commonly known that in 1492, Christopher Colombus (re)discovered the Americas for the European continent. But, this claim is misleading. Colombus actually never knew he (re)discovered the Americas, and thought for his entire life he had landed in the East Indies. It was only after his death that Amerigo Vespucci would prove that the landmass Columbus had found was a whole new continent. This map represents how Columbus thought the world looked at the time of his death, and is based off the 1491 map he used on his first voyage to the Americas.

Okay a lot has happened since V1, 1) Total rework of the terrain, this includes mountains, hills, forests, and plains. 2) Computer simulated erosion/rivers and reduced the amount from last time. 3) New Redesign of Oceanic Bed. 4) I still need to decide whther or not to incorporate the other "realistic" biomes or leave as is
For those curious how to make this kind of map for themselves, I used GIMP for height map modeling and post processing after using Wilbur for erosion and river formation. I have included additional images for those interested of various steps.

I made this map today by making a terrain in Gaea, then exporting an inverted heightmap and applying a gradient map in GIMP that has linear interpolation between the mountains, soils, sand, and water. After that I imported it with the conversion bot, then manually placed some biomes and lower the temps in the north and south, then created the island volcano in the center. Note that the biomes were all places sparsely and I let them grow over time on their own.

Hello everybody. I present to you my first ever map: Orgákios East Side. It has many errors and can even be ugly, but it was made with (some) care. However, the map was made waaaay before recent uptades, so be advised.
It was made in mobile, so, it is mobile friendly.
To the people who has interest in "lore", here it go: The dwarven empire of Montanheiros have built a safe heaven for they kind, with a reserve of seeds and biomes for the inevitable end. The humans came from the west searching for gold and land to claim and all they found was a wide range of orc clans -- who were almost wiped out in holy wars.
Far away from the known shores, a strange island (should you call that way?) looms in the distance, awaiting...

All countries have their mottos applied.
Mountain borders are removed, making wars a lot more possible.
Diplomacy - Random Events is disabled by default.
Hunger and old age are disabled by default to try and keep the small islands/countries from disintegrating really quickly, but turn them on if you want.
Some islands have the tendency to just disappear (especially Hiiuuma), I'm not sure why it happens or how to fix it

You can enjoy the map in various ways. Just playing it as an AFK game, letting the factions fight each other for the victorious throne of unification, or support your favourite faction on its way to unifying the broken Japan.

is there anyone here that could edit or update this map? i found it on Google and its a very outdated map from 3 years ago. i know its already a well known and user edited map, but im not good at finding the maps that i want, and im also not a map editor, considering that I've just played this game more than a week ago after watching a random yt video about it. i already managed to update the file from .json to .wbox on phone (yes, this map works on phone). i just want it to have all the current biomes in the game, or at least regionally accurate biomes, since it doesn't have those yet, also no animals, trees, or vegetation, just land biomes.
also please note, keep the game paused while editing because the world time is set to year 1, i like it and want it to stay that way. thanks to whoever edits this.

A world map that is 99.99% accurate to the current game version of HOI4 (Version 1.13 "Arms Against Tyranny"). It took a very long time to make this (~3 months) and I hope that you guys like it!

Things of Importance:
- World Law: Diplomacy is disabled
- World Law: Civ Babies is disabled
- In some countries, the population struggles to get high enough for them to form armies due to the large concentration of villages (Most notably in Europe)
- By disabling hunger all countries can form armies
- By disabling Map Names game will run better, especially on the Village Layer
- Opening the Village List will lag down the game
- Night ages will lag the game due to all of the lights
- Obviously very laggy and I recommend a high end PC
I'll make an optimized version in the future.

Credit to @pale pilot for this map, it was a ww1 europe map, I cut out modern europe countries. 25 x 20 35k pop, diplomacy off. Cities are capped to 100 people, but if you disable that world law pop will jump to around 60k, but you need a good pc. Also the cities are in another language, and some countries have more powerful people.

After a lot of balancing I present to you the most stereotypical alternate history world map
(according to this Reddit post: https://www.reddit.com/r/imaginarymaps/comments/tftz80/the_most_cliche_map_possible_every_alternate/).
This map is also (as said in the reddit post) not meant to be realistic, and actually just makes fun of some overused alternate history cliches.
The map uses the following Mods (if you dont want mods, there is a previous version of this map, where they are not necessary):
-CollectionMod (So that every nation can take over other nations without killing every inhabitant)
-FlagBox (I really wanted to add some other symbols to flags)
-RenaissanceBox (For better weapons and warfare)
Pretty much every Nation has a specific set of weapons/armour I gave them, to make it more interesting/realistic.
Because of that, the nation with the largest army is not necessarily the strongest nation. (❗ For this to work, you will have to download the map meta too.❗ )
That said, I would also advise everyone playing to disable hunger, because there are just too many people here.

-manually placed buildings to ensure balanced populations, accurately placed buildings corresponding to 100k+ cities (im sorry if your 100k+ city got skipped i prob missed some)
-small island villages made possible with a mod (if you want or need these small villages, you can play without the mod, i hope it works lmao)
SOME TIPS AND WARNINGS
this map is insane. it took me 3 months to finish. i played it with armies (in world laws), buildings and zone growth (at the bottom of the debug menu) all turned off, it was designed for a very specific purpose but it should still be somewhat playable. this map also includes small houses, which i modded in, the mod file is attached to this. this mod was originally made for private use and the code is borrowed from other mods, i am not an actual modder and all the credit for the code goes to @solar girder and @gentle hound, who are actual skilled modders. be sure to check out their mods. ||i hope they're okay with me doing this||
also, shoutout to @last crystal for helping with making the base hoi4 map, and motivating me to continue this project.

Lore (SPOILERS):
||`According to Phone Guy in Five Nights at Freddy's 2, the original restaurant was named "Fredbear's Family Diner," presumably a local family restaurant, before being re-enfranchised as "Freddy Fazbear's Pizza." By the time the events of the second game occurred, the original restaurant and its owner, Henry Emily have been gone for years.
During the minigames, Freddy Fazbear's Pizza is shown in a state of intense decay and disrepair. Rats are seen scurrying across the floor, the ceiling is leaking, and oil stains and other assorted garbage is strewn about. It is revealed on the map and through Phone Guy's recordings that there is a secret safe room for employees that doesn't appear on the security map or cameras, is inaccessible to customers, and is completely invisible to any of the animatronics, as shown by the error caused by trying to enter it during the minigame. However, due to budget restrictions, the safe rooms in all locations were locked up and sealed over with a false wall.
The safe room was the place of William Afton's demise, after bleeding to death in the Spring Bonnie springlock suit trying to hide from the vengeful spirits of the children he murdered. As nothing was removed from the safe rooms before the false wall was built, it is very likely that his corpse remained there until it was found by the employees at Fazbear's Fright.`||

Since my last map got good reviews😁 I made another more detailed one. The Area at the bottom has hills with every metal in the game with little patches of adamantine. It's gaurded by a line of mountain and a cursed biome so do with that as you will. If you have a favorite kingdom put them in the crystal biome on the bottom and they'll have immediate access to the resources.

*In Five Nights at Freddy's 2, a separated "improved" version of Freddy Fazbear's Pizza is a larger establishment before the events of the first game took place. As mentioned in a newspaper after beating Night 6, the restaurant would soon be shut down presumably due to more incidents taking place there. However, the possibility of a reopening is mentioned, albeit with a lower budget and using the Classic Animatronics. This may explain why the restaurant in the first game has limited power, a smaller location, and four active animatronics instead of six.
The animatronics include updated versions of the main four along with a balloon vendor named Balloon Boy and a puppet-like animatronic, the Puppet. They come complete with facial recognition technology and are linked to a criminal database.*

Lore (SPOILERS):
||`The pizzeria has more rooms than the location in the first game, including four Party Rooms, a Game Area, and a Prize Corner. The main animatronics from the previous location are also stored away in a Parts & Service room, used for spare parts for the new ones.
As the week progresses, terrible things start to happen within the restaurant that result in an investigation, lockdown, and eventually its closing. It is assumed that William Afton disguised himself as the security guard tampered with the animatronics' facial recognition feature. They also begin to behave strangely around adults, yet are normal when interacting with the children, possibly because the facial scanning was tampered with. Alternatively, judging by how the toy animatronics sometimes sport illuminating silver eyes, and how they strangely seem to only attack adults could mean that the toys are haunted by the spirits of vengeful children. This is furthered evidenced by the fact a spare suit, presumably Golden Freddy or Spring Bonnie, is stolen between Nights 5 and 6, and is supposedly used by William to lure more children into the backroom to be murdered, which resulted in the building going on lockdown and an investigation of the incident.
The pizzeria was closed after just a few short weeks of operation most likely due to The Bite of '87 incident.`||

Background:
In 2022, global tension between the USSR and the USA is growing, creating global tension.
In 2023, after intense negotiations and clashes, a peace treaty is finally signed in an attempt to mitigate the conflict.
In 2024, a terrible discovery stuns the world: a huge asteroid is rushing to Earth. People are starting to build bunkers, hoping to save some of the population from the impending disaster.
In 2025, an asteroid takes its path, hitting a part of the moon and causing a fracture of this impregnable sphere. Fear and anxiety among people are increasing, because now the threat has become even more real.
In 2026, an asteroid inevitably collides with Earth, leading to the death of all life.
Millennia after the disaster, people dare to come out of the bunkers into the world, much knowledge has been lost. Humanity begins its journey with a clean slate, and the chronology begins in a new way.
Although the earth has recovered, many traces of ancient civilization have been erased. The moon is visible in the sky, its broken part reminds of a long-ago catastrophe. The Earth gets a new name — Genesis, and its satellite, the Moon, becomes known as Muna.
By the year 4367 (according to the new chronology), humanity, despite the loss of old knowledge, is making progress comparable to the level of development in 2014. A new era on the planet Genesis replaces the tragedy of the past with hope for the future.

Some lore : ||In the years 2070-ish, a quantum physics experiment failed catastrophically, creating a tiny but growing black hole on Earth. The BX Company, the most powerful and advanced company in the World, gathered all of their resources to embark as many people as possible on their main starship, the "V.A.A.P", to allow humanity to survive. As Earth was eaten by the black hole, 8 million people escaped doomsday on the spaceship. After 270 years of travel (and many generations), they reached this planet and named it "Planet BX". The map you see is from the year 7012, as humanity has been prospering on this world, terraforming it and coming together to form one united world-nation : Beixland. The entire BRONZE SEA from the Roblox game "Arcane Odyssey" adapted to Worldbox! I have worked on this for some time as a little experiment and now it is basically complete. The game's map does not transition very well into worldbox playable standards however with some workarounds I managed to make it work out, trying to stay as fidel to the original as possible. Keep in mind that all of this was made on the free mobile version.
The map includes:
All islands present on the Bronze Sea, from Mount Othrys to the Pelion Rift.
All lore factions currently in the game, from the official kingdoms (Ravenna Realm and Sameria Province, each with their respective territories [Sameria currently has only Redwake under its control, since its mainland in the Nimbus Sea is yet to be added in the game]) to the Grand Navy and Assassin Syndicate, but also minor factions that are less organized, such as the Wind-Row bandits, which are way stronger than in-lore in this map.
Civilization ruins around Cassia Town, and also the damned souls of Akursius Keep, of which now pay for the crimes of their rulers
The Munera Garden, with an actual, albeit very small arena that is actually usable for NPCs to brawl to death.
Many different lore related NPCs from all different places, some minor, some very important to the game, all visible in the favorites tab.
The weilder of the Glass Curse: General Julian of Ravenna, whom had to be absolutelly nerfed by me in order for the map to give other factions even a little bit of chance.
And other smaller references to A.O! Specially in mottos.
The world is set one year before the arrival of the player, on september of 1853. And for a more realistic playthrough, I recommend leaving all world rules and eras the way they are, but for something to actually happen, turn Diplomacy on.
ps: I tried very hard to give Fort Talos watchtowers, but couldn't.

This map was originally a proposed map of where the game Ravenfield is based off, it was made on r/ravenfield by u/uhkms04844. Ravenfield is a fun single player first person shooter game that i would reccomend to everyone. its basically totally acurate battle simulater but with guns.

All countries have their mottos applied.
Mountain borders are removed, making wars a lot more possible.
Diplomacy - Random Events is disabled by default.
Hunger and old age are disabled by default to try and keep the small islands/countries from disintegrating really quickly, but turn them on if you want.
I have posted this before but I fixed some stuff (and it was last posted a year ago anyway)

It happens in 1900. Several small colonies have been set up but the Malagasy forces are pushing them back.
