I don't know why you would want to remove the permafrost adaptation trait, it has no effects other than allowing a subspecies to build on permafrost and negating permafrost slowness

I am using abv's ultra traits mod to make if a creature of my first subspecies dies a permafrost seed spawns in the place of its death, the second subspecies is not supposed to be able to build on permafrost so the first subspecies is safe on the permafrost biome and it's land won't be taken allowing it to rebuild so slowly but surely the whole world will be inhabited by my first subspecies, it's just an experiment I am doing if you understand me.

I've been wondering, is there a way for me to limit the amount of houses a given kingdom builds? I don't want to limit the amount of pops through say subspecies editing, but on the other hand I don't want my entire world taken up by houses everywhere lol

I've done a teeny bit of digging here in the server and I saw that you can take away all building traits from a culture - this works real nice to make towns actually dense and centralised (just like I want them) but experimenting has shown that they will just keep building. Is there a way to get a house limiter or something like that? I remember there was a set house limit a village could have, but that seems long gone

you're right, there used to be house limits. Unfortunately now that they scale with the amount of zones in the village, house limits basically don't matter.
if you don't mind messing up the color pallete of your world, you could use these biomes below in areas where you don't want houses, since subspecies need to have their respective adaptation trait to build on them.

(Be careful not to put seeds on the units or else they'll get the adaptation!)

tl;dr: kill all the other clans in that kingdom for the highest possible chance of your unit being selected

How to download maps on iOS

1. Download map.wbox file
2. Press Open in... then save to files
3. Select the worldbox folder then the saves folder
4. Press the 3 dots button next to save and create new folder
5. Rename that folder to save1 or any other valid number.
6. Open that folder and press save.
