The rationale behind Bely’s "merchant of death" disposition is due to its position just behind the buffer state that is the Western Coalition against the eastward-proliferating Wolv Confederacy, whose conquering over the past few decades has been much a pain in the back of the successive Belyan councils. This meant trying to limit Wolv expansion by opportunistically supplying both fronts, the intended outcome being a mutual attritional bleed that preserves Bely’s frontier integrity without direct mobilization of its primary expeditionary forces.

Another thing to do to get absolute loyalty is to purge other clans. Make sure the leaders of the other cities are all part of the main clan of the current King.

I took the elves and deleted their frontal lobe, made them aquatic egg-laying hermaphrodies, and set their reproduction through the roof.

They would sit out in the ocean breeding and then just swim up to the rhino boys and go "doy duh doy?" or whatever and get shot in the face and eaten.

When they shoot each other they're gonna get angry and need hosed off. If they're built right they'll never kill each other so it doesn't really matter. But here are some tips.

One, drop things in from the sides, not directly on top of them. Also you can limit their access to high end destructive weapons like fire staffs and such. And make sure they have the spell to keep buildings from burning in their religion.

But I just let mine use anything they want. Occasionally they all get mad and break things but they never die.

They're always going to end up rebuilding after a big war. Someone will drop a meteor on it or something. It's the only thing mortals can do to bother them at all, so I just roll with it.

I made mine all bloodthirsty and mentally ill so their habit of going at each other kind of just gives them character for me.

Hundreds of standard dragons. But they have torn up buffed ones like that. Evil staffs, alien blasters, shotguns.

White staffs. Whatever high power ranged weapons.

Give a bug species the divine reproduction method and wait for them to reproduce. You can check the subspecies's youngest unit in the interesting units tab.
