yeah it was a bit of a unique situation, they only started popping up during the first Bad War

i think what happened was like a sort of forced evolution during The Bad War, as it went on for 440 years and only increased in intensity from the start to finish it basically meant that if you didnt have the absolute best traits possible you wouldnt come home from the massive wave charges often seen during the war

so the weak genes were culled from the genepool for the entire western side of the continent, leaving only the absolute strongest behind

each subsequent Bad War only increasing this effect from after the TBW1 creatures would often be seen with about 20k health then TBW2 saw many creatures around in i believe the 60k health range and then TBW3 which saw the collapse of the Jumping Kingdom saw most of the demigod crystal golems having over 100k health each at the minimum

Also, how does subspecies gaining and passing down traits work exactly? Someone earlier said that subspecies is decided at birth or summoning a unit, but I’m not entirely sure how it works

i initially never spawned any species, they were either on the map when i downloaded it or what I think happened they spawned naturally in the crystal biome on the right side of the map
