There once was an Ork named Rid Rid. The sole survivor of his village military. Arrow after arrow after arrow this Ork took, and yet he never backed down. Rid went on to slay the entire human regiment besieging his village singlehandedly and walked away with about 150 kills. He fought the entire battle at Zero HP, and due to his unparalleled valiance in battle I blessed Rid Rid with the title of “Rid Rid the Undead”. I also gave him every positive trait in the game and super health. He survived for nearly 100,000 years before giving his life in glorious battle, having earned just over 600 kills.

I’m my world I use sand to control the spread of certain biomes. Over certain Battle-site, if the kill count is high enough. Then I’ll curse the ground over which the battle was fought. In my world this ends up being a lot of places… so a lot of NPCs will get the cursed trait. During battle, sometimes a snowball effect can occur where the undead begin to outnumber the living, and hordes of undead begin to sweep the world.

When this happens I will spawn a necromancer to keep up the pace of the undead spawning and support them. I will also make them into a “legendary NPC”. Which just means that I give them super health and all the positive traits. In order to make it an actual challenge to kill them. So it will require more coordination on the living NPCs parts.

The last undead uprising killed the Orcish king nearly 200,000 years ago, and claimed the lives of nearly 300,000

Well I’m sure you’ve noticed that all four of the kingdoms are the same age as the world, and so too are many of their kings

Well I make the kings into legendary NPCs so that even when nearly their entire kingdom and all their people are killed. Then the kingdom will still be able to rebuild.

Sometimes a king might be killed in battle, whoever is the next in line is automatically made into a legendary

I only will “bless” an NPC and make them into a legendary if they have done a great deed in battle

Kings are exempt from that rule since their existence is necessary for the kingdom’s survival

There once, however, was I time I almost fucked up
