Ah yes, the good old "weight doesn't matter, just work out bro" mentality. Weight matters. Also, where that weight is placed. Given enough time, you'll get sore from carrying a heavy gun, no matter your level of fitness. And a sling doesn't always help, for example when you want to point the gun somewhere (so like all the time...), only in downtime. But there is really helps, agree it's a need on a heavy gun

I have a 12 pound ak and have no problem hauling it around. When I was not working out it was a pain in the ass, but being in shape has made carrying the thing trivial. Just saying.
