Let's go back 2 years ago. Escape from Tarkov had about 10-20k concurrent players and then the month long twitch drops started. The contract allowed BSG to buy more servers to accommodate for the massive influx of players that jumped it to 100k, but it took time. Then the game went even further to 200k. And it took time for more servers to accommodate for that. Now Tarkov is jumping upwards of 300-400k. It takes time

The current server issues is because of cascading error in the backend. And cascading errors are one of the hardest to fix. You have to figure out what happened in the coding that caused it, and who did it. Then trial and error until it is fixed. Cascading errors can take days for a dev to figure out what happened when they are the only coder. It takes far longer to fix when there are multiple because of the process to fix it
