it depends, if you need find in raid items, then it can be done via Scav, but if you need to do something like "kill pmcs with grenades" that will need to be done as a PMC.

@finite pelican it happens my man. Really there is not a whole lot a solo can do against a team at spawn unless you are prepared for a fight. Like when you spawn in, you have to move to the -most-advantageous position to give you power and control over a potential fight. a combination of hard/soft cover. The availability to move/ flank/ bug out.
One of the best lessons to learn, is stop fighting on other peoples terms. Taking control doesnt mean being aggressive. It means not backing yourself into a corner or falling victim to the enemies plan. Be unpredictable and think flexible because it will all change in a matter of seconds.

my suggestion, because it has helped me out a lot recently. Start going on scav runs to reserve and looking specifically for raiders and glukhar (da boss) and his goonies.
They will lazer beam your face. Tear your limbs to shreds and spam your general area with grenades. Eventually, you will learn how to take advantage of varying positions, especially when you think you have a safe location, and you get flushed out with a grenade and just have to move. You start to think faster "where can I move. Where do I need to move. My instincts told me to run this direction; now that I am over here, what next?"
