this event is pretty okish until you realise you can camp the loot spots and that goes even better for reserve and customs with mounted guns, and if you hide behind the rubble in night time factory you can ambush people there it becauses an amazing event

Not everything is marketing. In order for a game to improve, it has to be worked on. Your solution seems to be, work faster and better and I'll complain about it until you do.
That's a pretty poor solution to the issue.
Play the game, if you start getting bored, go play another game and come back with the wipe or new content. That's an absolutely winning message that forms the basis of Tarkov's success. It doesn't need to hold the entire playerbase for each wipe, if it can bring more and more players back for each successive wipe.
If you don't like that, sorry, that's how the game's development strategy is structured, things may change as we go, but complaining in an eft-chat won't get you far, and everyone is going to read it as just another entitled player yelling for wipe.

actually now that i think about it the current maps are alright they just need to remove the weird ass brown and coffee cup stains, and maybe make it so that where you leave markers on a map you can save to move on to next wipe because you can mark areas on the map and it works fine its just that you have to mark it every wipe thats the annoying part

Did a quick wiki search on Santa. This is what he does: He wanders each map and if he encounters a player, will not be hostile (Unless fired upon).
If you approach him, he will drop a random item, gesturing and looking at it until taken.
If killed, you will lose significant Scav karma (-1).
His backpack does not contain the loot he can trade with players, only one christmas tree ornament and other loose items. His chest rig can also contain an ornament.

So might not be a good idea to kill him.

So EOD is worth every penny simply for the fact that streets is the last free map. Every map after will be a Paid DLC, as well as arena mode and coop are also EOD. The edition will dissappear from sales soon. EOD will save you alot of money in the long run and give you exclusives when the full game drops

Well we may be a long way off from 1.0 but streets is the next patch and arena is the one after. Streets is last free map. Arena will be behind a paywall. I can see them removing EOD with arena and starting their longterm financial plan, which will upkeep tarkovs infrastructure with DLC packages and then battlepasses. I don't think EOD will last until 1.0. They need funding and sales of the game isn't making them money anymore

Back in June, id have to find the exact podcast but whik3 Nikita stated it would be on 1.0 release lead devs which usually have a better time frame and more accurate information than Nikita stated it would be sometime around the beginning of next year and before the full release. The day after the website updated there EOD edition to saying available until Jan 1st 2023 but was removed about a week later. I'd guess with how BSG develops they will pull it early. It would make them alot more money.
