Currently, I just bring a Glock 17, 1 mag in, 3 spare in bank robber rig
AFAK, Analgin, splint and esmarch in pouch
That's all, too scared to lose money, and so far it seems good enough, whenever I go with this, I seem to always find a weapon somewhere to run with, whenever I bring another gun, I seem to instant die within minutes (and this has been the case every time lol)
What would you do different, if wipe happened just now? I got 1 mil

Do yall think per-faction traders would work? It's always bugged me how both factions almost always just use western weaponry past early wipe, and no one really sticks to the equipment shown in the raid series. If USEC traders sold western equipment and BEAR traders sold russian equipment, it'd make a lot more sense story-wise and would make fighting pmcs a lot more interesting and would help with identification when/if PMC rep ever comes. It wouldn't fit in current tarkov, but when it's more survival focused and grittier, I think it may work well.

Yeah, it would never work with current balancing. If it were implemented now people would only choose USEC for sure. Maybe mods would still be available on the flea, meaning you'd probably have to pay a premium for them, but could still get them.

I don't want guns to be locked to your faction, I just want people's usual kits to match their faction more

No, you can't do that apart from offline raids that doesn't count towards your experience and you get none of the loot out. There's always a minimum amount of people for the different maps before you can load into a match. I waited 25 minutes a month ago when I was playing at 4 am.

You shouldn't be on reserve at 17 tbh. No reason to buy a red rebel outside of barter. Even then it's still useless. People buy it because it's makes you look "cool".
