Im not good by any means but I have been using offline mode to learn routes without losing or gaining anything

Also maps online can help you gain your bearing with terrain association, and find the locations you want

i do not recommend offline raid to learn loot spots, cause loot seems to be bugged on offline raids. They are good for learning map tho

Damage from certain ammunition types can be almost completely mitigated by certain armors, if you're using a shotgun you need to aim for fleshy bits like the arms, legs, or face

Just about any class of armor will stop most of the damage that a shotgun with buckshot will do
