You lose your count unless you finish the full achievement when the game wipes and if you prestige @hoary beacon

Kappa is not a hard thing to do, you just have to play the game efficiently, know which quests are required, and plan ahead with items you need to keep. People who tell you it is hard are people who don’t do those things. People who also say it is pointless and they don’t go for it are lazy.

Try to complete multiple tasks per raid, don’t chase pvp unless it is a requirement for a task, know how to path around hot spot areas to make it safely around the map, etc.

As far as I am aware, yes there is still a requirement to buy keys to get into it. You don’t need to do the quest if you have a key from one of the gift codes, but otherwise you need to finish the quest line to buy the keys.

No one actually knows when next wipe will be. People speculate on the time frame, but it hasn’t been confirmed. Some are saying August / September 2025, but knowing what BSG have said before this wipe, probably not till the start of next year with the full release of 1.0.

By the current plan you will have to reset your PvE to participate in 1.0 content, its true, it doesnt matter when the accounts are made/ reset so you will have to reset for 1.0 it doesnt matter when you reset your account, prestige isnt implemented in PvE so you coudnt prestige either

If "nothing happens" when you try to install, and just see the install button again, with no progress after confirming the location to install, choose any folder within C:\Program Files (x86)\ like "EFT" in there and start the launcher as administrator. That location has less permissions and will work.

For PVE (and offline raids I believe) your EFT experience is locally hosted. this means you will get very low ping and no unexpected server crashes. This does make AI harder as they can react to you a lot quicker. Thats really the only downside.

Depends, solo is definitely quicker but a lot more demotivating, I would say start by playing with others and just play alone when you have the time

Base will definitely work to learn the game and you can still have a lot of fun. I would definitely say that it has a lot more hassle and it may not get you the full experience since its a lot more slow though. If your starting out then you should play for a while with standard and learn whether you really enjoy the game or not and then once you think you can justify it go for the Prepare For Escape edition since it is probably the most worthwhile for your money.
