The only way to become a better player is learning how to perform when under less than ideal instances. The pressure will transform your thinking. @stark shuttle this is why I suggest pmc, you can do the shooting first then asking questions later, scaving is when you just need a free kit imo and/or learning a map, when you pmc you are playing the authentic tarkov experience, once you have enough raids under your belt as a pmc you will be able to distinguish between a BEAR, USEC, and SCAV, its important to note these factions, and each unique faction character function (voicelines etc) so you dont get tricked in the future

@saothern this wipe I took some kids, young kids, in to Columbian to sherpa them and to teach myself about tasking and the skeleton of the game that I couldn't learn for years over people trying to say that it was for these kinds and this kinds of folk: what keeps happening is, they die and get salty from AI and in one instance from a guy with a MK-18...but they're actually finding them alive- actually having the encounters- and not getting third-partied. Anyone whose had the game for years but just can't get to learning the tasks, how to do them, and how to prepare their minds for the tougher PVP fights (the magic of how juicers become juiced and stay juiced)... Then Columbian Servers in South America- it makes it so you can learn how bosses operate without Edge of Darkness without getting third-partied by another team, and helps with your economy. There's always the choice to switch back to your native region to learn PvP once you have the fundamentals down- Where to find things, how to take down certain enemies, what they sound like, how grenades will help you beyond the explosions themselves, all of that.

I did that while looking for Scavs at Outskirts after wandering the entire map for 20 minutes and checking Scav Town and Sniper Scav on Woods (had a quest where I needed to kill three Scavs and extract from woods without using meds) and a PMC domed me from Idek where lol. Never heard him either so he must have been far and somehow still saw me. I guess I could camp behind a hill and just wait for footsteps and come out blasting but meh, not fun either. What ive found is the main things that make this game tick are high cache cpus (any amd x3d chip) fast and plentiful ram and a gen 3 or gen 4 m.2 ssd
