Anytime you get hit, you get a pain debuff - that quest typically happens naturally as scavs shoot you right before you kill them. If you want to rush it, break your legs and take painkillers - the pain debuff remains but you can function

What works for me is changing your setup. Don't approach it as a sniper task but play it as the slowest DMR in the world. I make sure to run a holo on my bolt action (or scope+holo if you wanna get fancy) and upon spawn I immediately try to cut off my nearest spawn from where they're likely to go. After that I cycle through hotspots and once I have 2 kills I typically go to outskirts and chill at the edge or at the rock and just listen out for players killing scavs as they approach their extract, then push them.

I took me like 10 raids to even find 3 players last wipe, this wipe I stumbled upon a 3 man that spawned next to me 2nd raid it was done. It's a bit of RNG. Just go play woods with bolty and go for the action. Wouldn't personally use a flir/reap for it but if it works it works.

Would really suck to lose gunfights just because you cheaped out on the armor

One 'simple trick' for dorms is to slap a flashlight on your shotty

And use the blindfire

if you blindfire with a flashlight on it looks like you're peeking

Easy way to listen for their location or to force them to spend bullets and reload/have a lower mag when you push them

Also slap a thermal reflex on there to have the chance to see your opponent around corners
