Which map? If just general tips, then (and I know it seems obvious), but waste no time rushing into a camping position where you can overlook hot areas or places where people commonly pass through. On customs for instance, sitting RUAF side looking towards Big Red sniping people crossing towards you is one strategy

Once you know roughly the locations of the major buildings and can put a name on them, the map becomes so much easier to understand. The "dorms" as you called them can be grouped as a set of buildings, then memorize their names. Same can be done with the other buildings, mentally "linking" them together to more easily dissect what's where
