For me personally, my standard stash was clogged with VPO-136 returning from insurance so I’d just convert to AKMs to use them up

any gun early level isnt super great since you dont have access to super great ammo, so any gun you run, try to get comfortable with. and then when you start modding them more you have an even easier time with recoil

I usually use the big mountain in the middle as a point of reference and if you can determine which side of the map you spawned on, north has the swamps and south has the factory/city background that should be a good start
