With a small storage space this is not possible as there is too much to hold on to all the time.

Therefore questing is far easier when you are able to work on all the quests starting at level one vs only starting then when you get them.

If you have a 4x and force yourself into CQC for greed then that explains a lot about what is going wrong for you. This game is not forgiving.

If you have a 4x and other guy has a red dot Ak and has to fight you across a field you will almost always win. If you fight him 10m away in usec camp you will most always loose.

As to where to go. There is a hill across usec that has good view of it. You can go above on the rocks. Hide below the camp by the lake edge and watch for people coming in. Ect
