@pliant gazelle No helmet. Gssh headset. Anti-flash goggles/glasses and mask (allegedly decreases chance of them Insta-headshotting you). For Armor just buy the 6B3TM armored rig. 45K and level 4. Good enough. If you have it unlocked buy TV110 (can use it for carrying away more gear).

For weapon just take a stock MP7A1, put a sight on it, and put a magazine in. Load with FMJ SX.

When you find a good raider weapon just use it instead. Fold your MP7 and put it into your backpack or rig. When you find a better headset or rig; upgrade. Same if you find a helmet.

For weapon another good option is stock VSS with sight and 20rnd mags.

If you haven’t unlocked either weapon just take a 5.45 AK with PP ammo (if you’re that low level). Upgrade the muzzle break, add a recoil buttstock pad, add a cheap grip and a sight, and go.

For example, I wouldn't suppress an aks74-u, because even with a suppressor the recoil is hard to manage

And the engagement distance where an aks-74u is effective renders a suppressor largely useless, since theyd still hear you

Depends on the fire rate of the gun honestly

The SCAR and MDR are very easy to use at 60 vertical because their cyclic rate is so low (600/650rpm)

But a 60 vertical M4 is kinda hard to use because the initial kick hits hard at 800rpm

@keen cedar You won’t learn unless you look it up yourself. Trust me. Look up each item on wiki and see what quest, hideout upgrade, and barter its for. Then think about how easy they are to get or to craft. Decide whether you want to sell or keep.

Best ammo isn't an easy answer, depends on what you are shooting. Some ammo has high flesh damage (taking HP from target and killing it), but it cant get through armor if they have it. High penetration ammo gets through armor, but causes less flesh damage. Most people go 855A1 because of a balance.

So those numeric values in red orange and green are kind of how reliable the bullet will penetrate the class of armor
0 being it will take a lot of ammo to penetrate through, 6 being will penetrate 4/5 times

I havnt found a good way yet but you can get a friend to shoot around another player scav on factory. then they might shoot him so when u kill them it gives u scav karma
