Sounds like your internet connection is really bad if Discord is slowing it down enough. Make sure you have the correct servers selected in the game launcher and then ask again in #community-support if that doesn't work.

All slugs are pretty good on flesh. That one can go through level 3 armor but AP-20 has it beat if you actually want to hit armor.

It also has a high malfunction chance (I think very high)

That is a high base damage slug though with some penetration on low level armors, so if you pen it does more than an AP-20. Not like it matters much at that point. Either one should one shot thorax if it penetrates.
