customs is very simple when you get used to it, but a few general tips to remember - and one of the biggest being that it is simply a straight line. at one end of the line is an extraction, and a couple of large buildings, next to a sniper roadblock. if you were to follow the road from there, to past the gas station in the middle and to the bridge, you would cross the bridge. and that is the big red warehouse on the other side

that is the other end of the map, directly in a line from the other side of the map, and it also has extractions. the side of the map that you dont spawn on, is always where you extract at. so you always have to cross the entire map during a raid, put simply

anyways, point of all that is, identify what side of the map you are on, and go away from it.

idk, tarkov is a game where you can use movement to reset fights, and you can "be in a fight" without ever seeing someone and being able to shoot them. They can choose to not ever peak or give you the chance to peak unless it's an angle that favors them. You might hear someone and try to chase them, but they could have better map knowledge than you and get away quicker. If the difference in aim isn't too big (and how often is it), they can use movement to compensate for what they lack in aim vs the enemy.
