You can do part of it. The key can found as a scav and when i used it to inlock and open the truck the watch wasn't there.

Extracted and then went in as a pmc taking the key with me and no problem. Watch found and retrieved...thats from some post

for fully geared you need to learn the rotations and have a general idea of where players can be and how you can path to avoid them

in general there are specific loot spots on the map that have a lot of geared players, so best to avoid those

but you also need to learn how players can path from spawn to those loot spots and from loot spots to extract
