It just takes time man. Try to run in groups to just learn general knowledge... or watch videos of people playing. There's a steep learning curve, but the more you know - the easier it is to knock out tasks and level quickly. But just because you're not leveling fast doesn't mean you're doing something wrong. Its all down to your play style.

Thats not a very accurate way to think about armor, lower tier ammos will start to penetrate more as the armor points go down but it will never be a lower tier of armor. And yes repairing adds more armor points
