I'm not an expert, but I think part of the reason Pestily and Lvndmark play a lot of customs is because there are more hackers on higher loot maps like Reserve, Interchange, etc... Friends have said that loot has to do with the average of a certain skill of players - I don't know if it's a search skill or something? But either way, customs is kinda hit or miss. I like the map a lot though. And yes, cache/stash runs are decent
you should also learn how to parkour off of dorms 3rd story and 2nd story without getting hurt so you can evacuate if people are coming in lol

I personally like going through the garage and/or through the medical/library building, along the edge of the map, hit the jaeger leaf stash, hid the dead scav, hit the barrel stash, jump over the wall to power, turn on power (so I have the option of going back to new construction/scav fortress for escaping in the basement with the factory key)... then go through pass through, then maybe check some of the stashes you've shown. It really depends where you spawn though

If you build the workbench then you can build up guns that way. Lots of it is just knowledge of what fits where, you need to have examined the items first before you can put them on.

- Remove the marker into your stash and back in your inventory
- Try again ; you should be placing it on the actual orange tanker
