You can get into dorms, whether or not you'll survive depends on how good you are. When I started, I practiced a lot in offline with bots (scavs & bosses) enabled and it was pretty good. If you need to head into dorms, I recommend doing it at night time because there may be less players.

No. When you inspect a mod there's a icon to mouse over that will show you if the mod is compatible with any weapon in your inventory or stash if you do this while in stash
Some mods can be put on or pulled off a weapon while holding the weapon other more key pieces of the weapon you can only modify while the weapon is in your stash and you inspect it
to put mods on a gun with no mod of that type on it already, assuming it's compatible, just drag and drop the mod on the gun
or inspect the gun and swap the mod for the correct mod spot

also just by practice, CSGO players do this kind of stuff inately but you need to keep your barrel at a certain level most of the time, if you get yourself used to the "true to barrel" nature of tarkov it becomes easier as you go. Youll start shooting stuff just by looking at it. I practice by shooting out lights in places like factory hallways, reserve bunkers, downstairs on interchange etc.

I have 1050 ti and ryzen5 3600, turned mip streaming on and basically fixed all my stutter and freeze problems. mip streaming offloads gpu stress onto cpu im pretty sure so that might work
under graphics settings its at the bottom just tick the box see if that helps

@lone fulcrum they are tucked inbetween the wall and some boxes in there. Really hard to find. From where you go up the ramp there is the mattress and the Sportsbag and to the left of that you have to really lean into the wall almost to see the docs tucked in there
