@robust folio First thing to do is RESET EXPECTATIONS. Doesn’t matter how much or how well you do in other shooters. This is a knowledge game. You will die and die due to lack of experience not gear. Experience. It will require persistence and commitment. You need to learn maps, scav behavior, PMC behavior, what is good vs. bad ammo. Practice OFFLINE mode, with scavs on, at Customs. Try to make it from spawn to exit 10 times. IF you can do this 50% of the time then you are ready for online. Meanwhile use your scav at Interchange to get loot and learn the map.

There are rare times you might get stuck awaiting session though... So if you are stuck at that point for an extended period I would ALT-F4 and try to reconnect

@austere mortar I have seen as many issues with teleporting and rubber banfing on low ping as I have on high ping. Ping is rarely if ever the real problem, imo.

I have had pings close to 200ms, come around corner pushing hard against a guy that I know is approximate location. Dead as I come around the corner and faster than I can begin to bring aim on him... Where the heck was my ping advantage?
I firmly believe that ping is a minor factor (in normal play) and reduced with things like predictive moving.
