@frosty surge easiest way is just take an SKS, the lvl1 prapor sks a handful of PS rounds, no gear just the gun a small amount of meds and the clava, when you spawn just rush the spawn zones. no one keeps the standard SKS as you can't mod it much so you always get it back

taking gear into woods is not worth it, so many snipers its just a waste unless you have a sniper also

If you want easy gear, go woods night time with nvgs, a big backback, and a supressed scoped mosin. Snipe scavs like its duck hunt and leisurely walk to extract.

Unity is a super solid engine, the source of a few of the problems with Tarkov is resource management and minor memory leaks.

getting over gear fear took me a wipe. Essentially I lost millions on millions of roubles worth of gear at wipe and this wipe i said fuck it... why hold onto all that shit? might as well use it, W key people and lose it in a fun way

It also takes establishing a good farming route. I know if I run my usual labs run, I can survive 1/3 times, or 2/3 if i'm really slow and careful, and make gear back pretty easily

@strong stone a lot of voice acting, cinematic cutscenes, and 4k textures makes the game big in GB. This game has only some voice acting and no super large textures, thats what makes it 12 gb. Dont get fooled tho, the game is really complex as mechanics, beautiful and sometimes pretty hardcore.

@opaque mirage thats pretty cost ineffective setup friend. Id use T3 armor with that, and the 6b47 helmet with it. I use yours only if I want to attach fast-mt side armor with chin protection and NVG-s on it.

You wanted someone to rate your M4. Since this depends on taste and preferences, I would give it a low rating. Suppressing recoil doesn´t make that much of a difference, but low ergonomics do, since this stat affects how long you can hold this weapon in ADS mode and how fast you can go ADS. 70 Ergo is good, anything below can be considered “slow/heavy” to me. You could improve this by adding a different pistol grip and by going down to a 30-round mag. M4´s have a bolt-catch (very fast reload), high cap magazines can be avoided by doing a speed reload if you are in need. But if you use the proper ammo and tactic, you won´t need to reload to kill 3 heavily decked guys. M995 is the ammo you should go for and you don´t want to push too much of your money through that already expensive barrel of an M4, do you?

But besides that, the rest is fine. That silencer comes cheap and it´s muzzle break gives you some extra accuracy points which is a great choice when you want to hit stuff on larger distances. That buttstock is also fine. I use to say everyone that modding the shit out of a weapon, won´t create a totally different gun, so take my advice with a grain of salt, since most of the modding won´t change much. What does make real differences is picking the right sight for the right job to acquire the target fast or precisely. As well as the ammo you put into these things since EFT isn´t realistic in terms of ballistic and armor, but it´s balanced and therefore you need to use certain ammo to overcome certain stuff or else you feel like you´re firing paintballs. That can too be considered to be EFT´s RPG elements.

Dont rush, try to move from cover to cover

Dont stay in the open, and shoot when you are sure you will kill

So you wont blow your cover and avoid dying if you are first to spot target

If target is armored, go for legs

#

Also loot bodies only if you are sure its clear, not right after killing

Eh the gear i care little about. Losing gears part of the game really. I just find it abit weird that more risk often equals less reward in terms of what you take in. Like when i can go scav or makarov PMC with no armor or bag and often do better than if i go in fully loaded (make it out more often, with more/better gear and more kills) whats the point in even tryna outfit a m4 and get fort etc

Just don't engage at the gas station when the scav army is there, and avoid dorms unless you feel like being a twitchy door peeker and still die because someone else is 1000x faster at recognizing pixels at the other end of the hall

Honestly, go into offline mode and experiment with everything you start with.

Hop onto some place like customs or interchange, give yourself plenty of space to work with.

Also if you can help it, avoid Shotguns

So I finally got to Health level 7 and finished the Health Care Privacy - Part 4 task, but it didn't unlock the Private Clinic task like it was supposed to. Any ideas what's wrong? I'm trying to do the Health Care Privacy - Part 5 task to see if they just changed the requirements, but everything I can find says it's supposed to be unlocked after part 4

Is there any benefit to ranging sights? For example most reflex sights I use are ranged to 25-50, so to prepare for more general engagements I range to 100m.

But all the streamers I watch don't seem to ever touch it and they obviously do fine.
I haven't been able to find any discussion or YT vids on this, so I was just curious

After fucking around with it myself and looking at how it works, I still maintain that it'd be more work that it really needs to be to ban parts of a external injector instead of just stopping injecting of any sort. That'd also go some way to curb hackers, not stop them, but make it a little harder.

Its a similar principle, but yeah. I mean its totally detectable, its just that it would be next to impossible to ban certain shaders while leaving others normal
