You can wishlist stuff from your inventory aswell in the raid but there isn't really a point of doing that imo. You already know when you hover over the item in the world if you want it or not

I have played about 20 raids of Customs and I am at the point where I feel like I know my way around the map and I know most of the spawns. Not as good as ground zero but it's fine. Still, I cannot figure out how I am supposed to play this map. It feels like there are too many open spaces I am forced to run through with a million angles I can be sniped from and it's just a gamble on whether or not I'll make it to the next cover. I am trying to do the skier quest for example, where you get the key from the body and look the folder in the shack. I was stuck in the shack for a good 3 minutes listening in, I heard nothing so I decided to go out. The shack is in the open so I sprinted towards the building to the right and instantly got shot by someone I don't know where. I don't get it, I feel like I have more control on ground zero given it's more close quarter

the area you're describing for the extortionist task is a brutal one, very chokepointy and people trying to do psycho sniper or shooter born will farm you from panda or power
There is luck involved in going there
However you can definitely learn the flow of the map and play around with it, and once you do it's fairly easy to survive on imo

when you heal a heavy bleed it becomes a fresh wound. im not sure the chances or if its certain but a fresh wound can open up into a light bleed i believe its more common if you move around a lot.

you can also get a light bleed by taking fall damage or getting shot. bandages are cheap and can be worth bringing but it is also cheap to heal a light bleed with a medkit like ifak or salewa.

Tarkov is not a game where you need reaction time. You can play it quick if you want to, but most fights are won with timing and positioning.

You just gotta have great map knowledge and a feel for flow and player behavior

As someone who is level 12 and only has level 1 traders, is it a good idea to run smgs? As I am realizing the rifle ammo I can get reliably from traders is very bad and while I am farming as much as I can of the good ammo in raid, I don't have that much. I am thinking smgs are better because they are faster so at least my chance of a headshot or my ability to deal spread damage via legs is better?

If you can get decent ammo for them then yeah it's worth to use smgs but you will be giving up accuracy if it matters. With any low pen ammo you want to either aim face or stomach/legs. Minimum i use for rifles is 5.45 PS and 5.56 855. Anything lower pen is me just goofing around.

I would suggest you open the ammo chart on a 2nd monitor or something and it shouldnt take you more than a day or so to just remember the rounds that you should be picking up or not

And in the offchance you dont remember you can always take a look at the round in-game and see what it pens etc

This game doesn't do any sort of matching based on levels, but levels don't make you stronger against bullets other than access to better gear, a level 1 can headhot a level 70, the only barrier is map/game knowledge, which over time you can get better with. But you aren't wrong that it feels like shit as you're starting to die to people who have been playing more, just it's gonna be like that in any game with hours being a barrier like r6 siege or other competitive games

Alright, better than 16, the ping spikes might just be their servers. They have been having issues since last night. The game does recommend 64 gbs of ram and it may benefit you to look in #community-support for a guide on setting up a page file to see if that helps
