got a pretty dumb question and ik its kinda mid game stuff, but im playing PVE version of tarkov and I've heard bout the theta container and Im doing some of ref's quest but from what I keep seeing and all is that I have to play arena to get it and I did miss out on the 3 free day trial. Im just trying to confirm is do I gotta play arena or is there another way to be able to get it?

You have to play Arena, unfortunately. But you can get the Epilson by doing Punisher, You can buy Beta from PK or you can get Kappa

look for epsilon its only 2 slots less and its one of the 3 containers you can get with the standard edition of the game(alpha beta epsilon)

Theres a guarenteed tank battery spawn in a secluded section of woods, personally I would always recommend upgrading pouch size if possible. Having a docs, injector, and dogtag case would leave you with 2 slots, having more on top of that is always good

also you can get tank batterys from cultist circle, i've atleast gotten 3 using the 1x saiga + 4x STM-9 sacrifice (from skier)

if you like arena and wanna play,go ahead, grind for the theta, but going for the punisher quests from prapor is just slightly more of a hassle, its actually 2 similar ways, you get good amount of quest rewards on each but the only difference is the theta has 2 more slots

i personally was left inbetween too but i actually didnt wanna play arena that much so now i think ill go epsilon but i ignored prapor so much that i am in "shaking the teller"(the last quest before punisher starts)

standard fella, ended up buying arena on sale after my 3 days trial ran out, and as a rather dogsh** player it helped me a ton learning how to peek/pre-aim/pre-fire/reposition/tackle pvp in general

But my advice for Killa is: bring grenades to activate his voice line (he will yell out at a distance of like 50m if your grenade is in range)
use cheaper ones like smokes and flash bangs to clear him out of potential spawns, and then while he’s running from the nades that’s the back of head shot you want with your BP ammo @royal adder

they are different totally. laser is used for roughly guessing where the bullets will go when you fire without aiming down, flashlight is used for preventing enemy to see you clearly and rather making you seem as a white beam of light

Can't check flea level restrictions right now but the SR-25 itself can be bartered from peacekeeper LL2 for a cyclon (not sure if u can buy that yet), peacekeeper LL3 for dollars, or Ref LL2 for GP coins.

The hybrid suppressor is from Peacekeeper LL2 for dollars or Mechanic LL2 with a barter (2 capacitators + 3 wires).

And the schmidt and bender 1-8x scope is locked all the way at level 40 on flea, but theres a barter for 2 buckwheat at Jaeger LL2.

I wouldnt start doing the task til you can get all 3 of these.

Depends if you feel confident in being able to kill Sanitar or not, as well as which rewards you want. Colleagues P3 is easier if you're not confident in killing Sanitar, but requires more looting/grinding to get the items needed. That one gives a black keycard for labs, while killing Sanitar gives the REAP-IR thermal scope. I always go for Colleagues P3, some of my friends prefer going for killing Sanitar.

Definitely! You usually don't have drops like this at the start of a wipe though, and I didn't know if that person just started and had gotten any drops. Beginners usually aren't good at leveling up their hideout. I just get my cards and injectors as well playing as a scav since I get so many cards on it before I unlock the craft, but some people don't like playing as a scav. You could always hunt the player scavs if you don't like playing as a scav. 😈

MOSTLY 30-45 seconds of matchmaking but with server loading times etc. it gets up to 4-5 min to get into a raid usually. but on ezrlier times of the day or very late into 3-4 am it goes up to 5 mins matchmaking and 5 min server loading time

AXMC or VPO-215, yes the highest and lowest ends of bolt actions. you will need .366 AP-M ammo for the VPO-215 which is 90 dmg 42 pen, then you can onetap lvl4. however many players just use the marlin mxlr for that task.

Okay so one thing thats legit making me annoyed and making me get tired of tarkov real quick is that even if its in my stash directly it takes stuff from cases first which fills everything at the top with random hideout equipment stuff and makes it a lot more annoying. Unless you need long range kills i usually do lighthouse kill quests by just going to the chalet and killimg whoever else is there or comes there. Probably the most reliable and honestly pretty fun pvp spot on that map. The village pvp kinda sucks tge water treatment is playerscav infested cancer and rest of tge map is sniper country

Yea lighthouse is hands down my least favourite map in the game idk what they were thinking, tge flow on it is ass. Playing on it is not fun and sniping there isnt that fun either in my opinion

You can use slugs like sformance or others with good accuracy on shotguns with decent moa like long barreled ones but tbh every single time i do this quest i just do it by taking a regular cheap shotgun full of regular cheap 7mm buckshot as my secondary to my rifle and whenever meet a scav that isnt a sniper i close distance using cover and just unload buckshot into his face from close range. You can probably do it that way in like 2 raids

You can absolutely kill them on scav but on reserve you can easly mistake them for boss guards near the train and tank your rep or kill a scav thinking hes a raider. Its safest to go in once their killed and just loot dead ones

In the bunker its easier to not make that mistake but also harder to find them alive, players rush them

You also have to stay in a particular "zone". Not sure about ground zero, but for instance on customs you need to stay on the middle railroad track. If you stray too far you get shot

luck until you understand spawns and raid times
for most people, the first 5 minutes are the most dangerous due to knowledge of spawns and the chance of running into someone else, then usually most people will begin to extract at various points, woods is a bit rough the first couple of goes because most people want to go by the lake next to the sawmill even though that's arguably a very open and dangerous spot.

you could go the other side, but then you run the risk of running into people waiting and sniping for various reasons.

I usually go the water side because I'm too lazy to go all the way around and I don't know woods 100% but if I think it's too risky I'll take a wide berth around the sawmill instead.
