Ah I see, since Therapist is needing specific items for AFAKS/IFAKS/Salewas, I can't get them, is there an alternative option? I've brought AI-2 kits in with me, but have no clue what they even do. I've used them after a gunfight and didn't see any benefit

AI-2 kits only restore HP and do not fix bleeds. If you are only running AI-2s to regen HP you should also be running bandages and Tourniqets to stop bleeds.

CMS/Surv12 surgery kits can be equipped in special slots to fix blackout limbs, but cannot fix a blacked head or thorax

Early on make sure you run your scav raids every single time and don't sell the knives. You can trade the knives to a vendor you'll unlock soon for two good newbie guns, the MP5 and the UMP 45

Sticking around the edges is an okay strategy for the very very very first few raids while you're learning where the extracts are, but nothing worth doing is on the margins. It's just to keep you from getting lost or running into another player basically

Running a mosin as a beginner just move slowly from cover to cover and try to keep the high ground if you have a choice. Do not go on ridge lines or anywhere else that you'll be silhoutted against the sky or background, but blending in with rocks or hills, bits of equipment is good

Most new players have to deal with that for a bit. The most dangeorus part of a raid by far are the first five minutes, your chance of making it out probably doubles after that

There are little invisible highways of players moving to the busy parts of the map that are easy to stumble across early on. When you first load in, look around and try to pick a relatively sheltered place, like a building, rocks, a stand of trees, and sprint into it. No more than 10 seconds or so. Then slow down and look around, all directions, and listen closely for sound, look for people moving. Think of tarkov almost like a stealth game in some respects. You want to see them before they see you.

Then from there start working your way across the map, always paying attention to lines of sight and sheltered spots. You don't ever want to be in an open road or empty field if you can help it. Keep moving but don't sprint, and keep looking around you at all times.

Prevent bleeds first starting with heavy then light, then heal HP up

If you do this and your limbs stilll go black, it just means you took too much damage that you couldn’t prevent it

Using a CMS to fix a blacked limb doesn’t bring its health back full, so that same limb will be more likely to be blacked out going forward (using a Surv12 kit brings the limb back with a higher threshold to heal back up to )

But basically, stop anything that is reducing health, then start increasing health

Yes, most med kits do light bleeds, so I typically set 4 to a heavy bleed, and 5 to something like an IFAK.

As soon as I realise I have a heavy bleed I stop it with 4. Then press 5 to stop any light bleeds/ heal

The game knows to stop a light bleed first if you press 5 on an IFAK for example

You can also hold 5 and scroll, and it’ll bring up a snap menu where you can let go of your scroll on a limb, and it’ll heal that first. Prioritising thorax heals can be done this way

Yes, I HIGHLY reccomend changing your health and status to be ‘always shown’ because of this

I personally have my health always shown, my hot keys always shown, and my stamina and stance always shown

Having hotkeys always shown helps massively with healing as it takes the remembering part away, just look at your hot bar and press the one you want

Also means if you find heals in raid you can hotkey them to 6/7/8/9 and not have to remember what one you set it as

I've been running ground zero a lot, it's a small map, but after a few raids, you'll know where everything is. Main 2 extracts are on the north and south side of the map, so you never have to worry about finding them

But if you spawn in tunnel, good luck, there is always someone else that will spawn down there with you and each time I have spawned there, I got rushed by guys with the entire USA's military budget

there is a small chance since it's picking out of a huge pool of items that it could give to you. if you manage to reach a certain value threshold when sacraficing (400k), you have a 25% chance to get a 6 hour timer cultist circle, and if that happens, you are guaranteed to get something you need for either your quests or hideout.

Then start in on your ground zero quests. Learning the maps and player spawns is a big part of surviving

Guards dont have second names according to wiki, @fiery moat if you say the end screen say "Guard' , they were guards, not raiders. As for Glukhar, he doesn't stray from his followers, or more like they don't leave him. So he likely died somehow and his body is just somewhere around the area, or he just never aggroed onto you and stayed in some corner you didn't check.
