Taking co-op extract *As a PMC or scav both help fence rep.

Also if on PvP if you witness a player scav kill or shoot another scav if you kill the traitor scav it'll help your rep too

Scavs won't shoot on sight in a new scav raid unless your rep is insanely low. So a few raids where you lose rep isn't gonna do that to you.

id say begin watching twitch for drops if they exist, claim all of the promo codes, use online maps (once you unlock the compass use that too its very useful if you dont know the maps), use the fandom wiki for quests, use wishlist to know what items to pick up (i also use in game flea market/tarkov-market.com to see whats good) and which to throw out first (eg blue tape, hoses, cords, relays are examples of really good drops while soap, d & aa batteries, awl (after first 3), geiger (after 1st 1), all the cigarettes (after finishing the mechanic quest giving him 5 of each). use around 62-63 fov since 59 fov = 90 vertical fov which is the normal option in most games.

also dont have gear fear, always try to run armors even shitty t2s since you will almost always get them back anyways with insurance, you will most likely sell a bunch of weapons due to lack of inventory space anyways. camo is important always run a balaklava and try to go for more camo like colors. now if you still have gear fear, try running a glock with a balaclava and an extra mag + a lot of loose ammo

ammo -> weapons. try to go for ammo with 30+ pen and if you cant try running high flesh damage weapons and go for legs and/or the head

and also try to get a friend to play with its a lot more fun together 👍

also to survive in game theres a lot of stuff to know but here are some tips i found useful: using lean (i use just press once since it hurts my fingers to continously hold) costs no stamina so when you are not running always try to use q and e to not get headshot. energy and hydration is important always go into a raid at max. always have a way to heal, cure light bleed, heavy bleed and fractures/painkillers. double press o to see what extracts you have and look online to where they are (press x in a random bush or safe place while you do so), try to manage ur stamina so that you are never caught out without stamina, try to sprint from cover to cover and walk the rest so people dont hear you as much. theres probably much much more but these are my most useful tips i can give you i think.

PS: for streets and ground zero i would recommend to go at night so you dont get killed from buildings by scavs and pmcs since they have a bunch of street lights. ppl with night vision cant really see that well when looking at street lights but this also means you shouldnt do it on other maps unless you are more experienced

you can sell both clocks, keep one cat sell the rest, thermometers (2 needed for booze generator very very later on, sell now), aa batteries and d batteries are basically useless dont pick them up in raid unless you have empty inv (you can barter 2 of both for a mosin sniper but eh still not worth it), barter the paid to a salewa, sell the wd-40, the raven and axel as well, toothpaste both kinds are useless so sell. firesteel sell, fireklea sell (can be used for like one thing later on), the rest can be used for crafts, tasks or hideout stuff in general.

Rhesala isn't terrible he has no armor but his guards do and they'll beam you sometimes

Tagilla isn't that bad if you have leg meta ammo and a fast fire rate.

Or ammo that pens lvl 5 or 6 and go for chest/ head shots just need a fast shooting gun for sure.

The struman isn't terrible either you just cannot re peak him twice his 3-5 shot won't miss your face. He's got no armor either.

Id say begin watching twitch for drops if they exist, claim all of the promo codes (using the command ??codes in this server), use online maps (once you unlock the compass use that too its very useful if you don't know the maps), use the fandom wiki for quests, use wishlist to know what items to pick up (I also use in game flea market/tarkov-market.com to see whats good) and which to throw out first (eg blue tape, hoses, cords, green lithium batteries, relays are examples of really good drops while soap, D & AA batteries, awl (after first 3), geiger counter (after 1st 1), all the cigarettes (after finishing the mechanic quest giving him 5 of each, though apollo are useful at higher levels). I personally use the "other" wishlist as a blacklist for bad items to generally not pick up (unless inventory is empty) Use around 62-63 fov since 59 fov = 90 vertical fov which is the normal option in most games and I believe this is what most streamers use?

Also don't have gear fear, always try to run armors even shitty t2s since you will almost always get them back anyways with insurance, you will most likely sell a bunch of weapons due to lack of inventory space anyways. Camo is important always run a balaklava and try to go for more camo like colors. now if you still have gear fear, try running a glock with a balaclava and an extra mag + a lot of loose ammo

Ammo -> weapons. Try to go for ammo with 30+ pen and if you can't try running high flesh damage weapons and go for legs and/or the head (legs are very good for killing highly geared players if you don't have good gear yourself)

And also try to get a friend to play with its a lot more fun together 👍

Also to survive in game there's a lot of stuff to know but here are some tips I found useful: using lean (I use just press once in hotkey settings since it hurts my fingers to continously hold) costs no stamina so when you are not running always try to use q and e to not get headshot. energy and hydration is important always go into a raid at max. always have a way to heal, cure light bleed, heavy bleed and fractures/painkillers (painkillers are really op in a fight however they drain a lot of water to use so careful). Double press o to see what extracts you have and look online to where they are (press x in a random bush or safe place while you do so), try to manage your stamina so that you are never caught out in the open without stamina, try to sprint from cover to cover (or as much cover you can find/places where as few enemies can see you as possible) and walk the rest so people don't hear you as much. You can also press middle mouse button to free look a bit. There is probably much much more but these are my most useful tips I can give you I think. If you have any other questions or more tips then ask away. I'm not a "pro" myself since I came back this wipe from 3-4 years ago but I think I have good tips to give anyways.

PS: for Streets and Ground Zero I would recommend to go at night so you don't get killed from buildings by scavs and pmcs since they have a bunch of street lights. ppl with night vision cant really see that well when looking at street lights but this also means you shouldn't do it on other maps unless you are more experienced or have your own night vision.

So when you are playing as player scav how can i identify if a person who is using VC is a pmc or a scav? for example can i ask them to press f1 and if they are a usec i will hear that they talk american which is a pmc, if they are bear? idk are the voicelines different from scavs? just had a person vc and ask if he wanted to go bunker on reserve to kill players but then he lobbed a grenade at me and failed but i ran away (he was a pmc)

You can check the wiki for items to keep and sell. Getting storage containers also helps a bunch. Selling stuff you can replace pretty easily like gear also helps

Additionally, upgrading your edition gives you a LOT more space. Night and day difference if you can stomach the price

Early low lvl skills the full auto is hard to control limit to 3-5rd burst or single shot

I almost always turn all guns to semi auto when I wipe full auto recoil isn't worth it early on IMO
