You will level up on tarkov faster, playing arena is also a good way to up your strength and your endurance on PvP tarkov, I’m pretty sure it also levels up all your other skills on PvP but just not as fast, but arena is a faster way to increase endurance and strength, also you can transfer items that you get from ref or ragman and transfer them to PvP but I costs rubles to transfer the item to PvP

Sks is okay at best, it has quite a bit of bullet drop compared to some other rifles, 7.62x39 is kind of a slow round. Honestly my best advice, is to watch a tutorial on how to kill them/ the route to take, and practice like 2 offline raids trying to clear the rogues so you understand how they aggro you. From there you will be ready. Just my .02

You can just find guns around the place and mod them with available atachments, you can hunt bosses that have good guns but thatbis relatively hard for your first wipe experience, theres also killing raiders on reserve or eogues on lighthouse which is a good idea and i revomend it. But killing players is the ultimate way

You can still claim the items but there is a time limit, just try and make space in your stash, I’ve completed missions and never accepted the rewards, and it stayed for like a day or 2 before having a time limit of like an hour or so, after that time runs out you loose those items

So you can exit out of the game or just exit out of the claim items screen, without any risk, just make sure to claim those items in under 2ish days

Don’t prioritize finding stuff for kappa yet, just focus on tasking and money, then go for find stuff for kappa once you get the task for it, that’s what I do, it’s just added stress and takes up too much space in your stash when you don’t have the kappa task yet

I know there are some in effect to counteract RMT, but say i want to drop a kit for a friend i go in raid with or some barter items, what limits are on this? I believe you can only drop one barter item per category if i read the tooltip correctly. Not sure how that goes with gear though.

if you play PvE, intel items such as diaries can actually net you profit when selling to peacekeeper if you purchase it from flea. If you play PvP, check the exchange rate by dividing an intel item that fence may have (if people still sell this to fence, used to be very common in the past) to peacekeeper.

unfortunately i cant convert it for you right now since i cannot see the price per dollar from peacekeeper on purchasing (and the hardcore wipe may have made it more expensive)

You mean when you play scav? Its simple: if they look homeless then its scav. If they're wearing camo clothing (underneath the gear) then its PMC) scavs also use voicelines often. So get used to listening for the specific voices.

Ohh I didn't know that. Okay thank you. Basically, I am a bit confused as to the function of bears in pve. I was scavving and I went past bears, who yell stuff at me in russian but never attack me. Then I went into some warehouse in customs and I saw a bunch of scavs, some said something some didn't. I went upstairs and I heard some english being yelled at me so I shot him. then immediately, a the scav from downstairs came up yelling russian, but looked spooky so I shot him and killed him, at which moment like 5 others showed up and killed me. turns out they were both bears, and those weren't scavs, they were other bears. but sometimes they just don't attack me.. or if they do, it's not immediately like they yell russian and then takes them a while to actually shoot me. You have to pay, to go, and pay if you want to take the btr to leave, I think it's like 14k per trip? Cover fire is like 80k

You can get out of the train depot ( if you're talking about going to the quest area) but I would suggest watching a tutorial on it because it is easy to die trying to leave yourself. Make sure it's an updated one

Yes by a ton, it will full heal you in the use time which is 60s, a propital won't fully heal you, and it takes like 240 seconds.

The main difference is propital acts as a painkiller etg does not

ETG is the "I'm going to die in the next thirty seconds if I don't pop this" while Propital is the "Well that fight mangled me, time to put myself back together. Where did I put that CMS?"
ETG heals you FAST but it also expires fast, propital is going to keep you going for a while. Use ETG's for emergencies and Propital as a pre and/or post fight stim.

Propital is my go to for when I have to run on broken legs, gives you the painkiller and tops off the lost health with the heal.

Adrenaline is a nice middle ground for fast emergency heal and painkill. I usually keep one on me. They might be cheaper too, I can’t recall though.

frankly i dont see why people enjoy this wipe, it was fun for a while but now everyone runs with meta ammo and everyone who isn't good at the game is struggling to get the basics covered

yeah mosins are quite reliable, always have been. I used to play a lot a few years ago and it was around that time that BSG upped thorax health from 80 to 85 to nerf the LPS and PS round so it no longer is an instant kill.

I totally understand where you're coming from in the gear disparity argument, but imo this game will always have that no matter what, even when players could buy the good stuff on flea, if you were broke there's till a huge gear disparity. i dno im an old tarkov player. Didnt have the rig to play tarkov on, but my roomie did and he let me play Tarkov on his PC back in the day. Then when we both moved out to our own apartments, i tried playing but i had 25-40fps and everything but factory was not stable. So i quit playing, until recently when i got a new rig. Get a consistent 100+fps on everything but streets (but that map is just bonkers anyway) and i was really excited to jump back into Tarkov.

Point is, things used to be far more fair-ish. LPS was available from Prapor LL1, 7.62 PS too, Peacekeeps had M80 on LL2 (easy to get if you just sell/buy items from him for a while even without flea) and flea was lvl 10+. Then BSG upped it to 15+, but opened up a lot more items and ammo to LL1 traders to ease the burden. This is now slowly reversed. It is worse, far worse, than ever. I am struggling real bad. I can deal with the low/unmodded guns, i can deal with no armor, i can deal with being on the backfoot, but having no ammo available that can reliably punch through someone who does have reasonable gear is just... Its just not fun man.

This is not even a hardcore wipe thing, the availability of ammunition that can actually put up a fight is just not there. Hasn't been in a while. From what i gathered (although incredibly biased) opinions from people who were still playing, vets just complain about moslings and the likes. People that run budget builds shouldnt be able to kill me and that kinda nonsense. But whilst there's truth to that, those who are inexperienced and running on scraps to get by are just getting shafted really bad.

Again I want to point out, it was not more balanced back then it was way worse, the people with money just bought all 6 armor, best ammo best guns, less money people physically could not kill them, especially with the old armor system. Players could almost be unkillable. The ammo is there on these maps, I've not run out of good 5.45 ammo, good 7.62x54 ammo, or 761x51 by simply picking it up, the ammo buffs are decent enough

Remember a scenario i had years ago where i was running with a pistol with 2 mags and some ammo on a cache/barrel run, and ran into someone who did hte same. Got into a fight, but neither dead. We both were near death and limping, then came face to face and both heard the "click click click" empty mag sound. We just stood there, stared, and i started throwing my spare meds at him and we teamed up. Reloaded the mags. Managed to slap some dude in chad gear, split the spoils fairly and headed to exfil. Cant post a clip but i can tell you what happened, I was prone, looting some somehow juiced lv3 on ground zero, and all of a sudden, his teammate starts shooting, I spam space bar or whatever button to get out of prone, try sprinting, and my pmc is falls on the floor in the middle of the hallway, try to get up again, try sprinting, and my pmc is back on the floor still not hit by anything, untill the very last time i try and get up and sprint, boom, domed in the head by someone down a 50 ft hallway, I know its not me fatfingering prone cuz my fingers were not even near the prone button, this also happens to me too in arena, I just don't understand how this happens, does my pmc... trip on himself? idk

@modest ivy just learn the spawns and take your time. Not an easy map to always avoid PVP. Once you get a good grip on the spawns you will kinda learn the pathing people will most often take and then can start avoiding those fights.

common spots differ from map to map, loose loot in hardcore wipe is also nerfed so youll end up seeing less stuff on couches and the ground

the guy burying his face in couches was probably looting relaxation room in streets of tarkov, which isnt a common spot, and most places dont have couches that can spawn small items that are invisible. 90% of the time, loot is visible enough. 10% of the time, you can use your perception dot and smoosh your face up to fabrics, couches, and under beds.

as for videos, i can recommend swampfoxtv as he makes good beginner friendly gameplay guides that encompass most of the tarkov experience.

i can do super well on one map and then go on another i've only played 4 times and i just get destroyed
