Uh, well there's pvp everywhere, but factory you'll get into pvp the fastest. But it's going to be hard to learn there as people are quick and know all the angles. Customs is a great one for pvp that's a little more open style

Yes arena is great for practicing pvp, but not 1:1 training, arena makes you faster at everything, which is vital for pvp and makes your aim better, but will not help with positioning and map knowledge

Check the map on the wiki, near southeast corner kinda and its small so easy to miss. I recommend going to the big ole sniper rock then following the various rock formations going southeast (as landmarks) and it'll be easy to get to then

Half the battle for me is simply figuring out where I am and in what orientation

The easiest way to get to it is go to the big rock, follow it around until you find a crashed plane. Go to the nose, look around and you'll see it

very simple, open your settings and change the settings there. You can also change your nvidia settings when it comes to brightfullness and so on. But changing game files to remove shadows (like in some other games) is just cheating and a banable offence

When playing as a scav, do not kill other scavs unless you watched them kill a scav. Being the aggressor in a scav vs scav fight will lose rep.
Use the paid car extracts on maps that have it. On ground zero its that black SUV between the terragroup building and the bank.

Check the wiki it has every method of raising and lowering rep. Ideally you want higher rep

Imma be real with you there really isn't one, they're all equally difficult and present their own challenges, customs is a good starting point as its a very straightforward map, the entire thing is a long a highway and you can orient yourself with that

Honestly scaving on factory with low Fence rep is asking for trouble. If you get close to a boss NPC they will aggro which turns every scav against you as well. Better to scav on other maps

if your running 16GB ram and low ram GPU then unfortunately there not much optimizing

you'll have to get more memory

32GB or more of RAM 8GB gpu and NVme harddrive will help a lot....then lowering resolution and turnng off background apps that rob processng power will definitely help

On woods you wanna look for the really tall rock formation that you can reach (not the mountain range in the background) that's like a central point kinda. Once there run around it to orient yourself then pick a direction with some notable features and head that way.

And when you spawn, whatever extracts you have that aren't paid or flare should be on the other side of the map. For example, if I look and have the Outskirts extract then I've spawned in the eastern portion

That way you know to only look at half the map and that will narrow down where you could be or should be looking for

Honestly It's not worth scavving on PvE, yo can make way more money by running as a naked PMC with just a knife, compared to making money as a scav on PvE, but thats my opinion since I have some experience with loot spots as a PMC

Pmc's usually can have armBands on, you will rarely see scavs with arm bands on.
I can tell if its a PMC by if it's in what you could say a group of other kitted AI. PMC's usually will have an English voiceline when agro, scavs always are Russian voicelines, scavs also don't usually run as much when non agro, thats all the info I can give on how to differ them, I honestly just learned the hard way on what is what.

Its fun to gang up on the PMCs. Like a day out with the boiz. They also spawn with good stuff sometimes

Russian PMCs seem to have a more "authoritative" voice compared to the average joe sounding scavs, English dudes just speak English so ez. They also will spawn with better gear, usually plate carrier and rig and like a decently tricked out gun. I usually use peek real quick to hear if they are aggro or not

Just starting out, stay away from the big lumber camp in the bottom middle, that's a big scav zone and i think a boss can spawn there too.
Basically stay off the roads and utilize cover as much as possible. Trees rocks anything really. It's like a slow sniping friendly map. You can try loading in practice mode to get a feel for it

you can try to scav reserve or streets to loot filing cabinets, they tend to spawn them pretty often compared to other containers.

they can also sometimes be found sticking out of computer cases apparently, like as loose loot
