Starting from scratch then I recommend spending time learning a map or two. If you can knock out quests along the way, great, but if you find yourself not making progress on quest no worries. Just focus on acquiring gear and leveling your character. Keep using your scav for that, there is zero loss if you die.

For game mechanics check out the wiki. You'll also learn with time the general hotspots due to loot density and how you can avoid or exploit those. Watch some basic beginner videos too, there's no question that can't be answered on YouTube

Feel free to use the #pvp-lfg/ #pve-lfg channels to find others to play with. Alternatively you can use #sherpa-info to get some more dedicated help from a Sherpa. There's a lot to cover as a new person and having someone experienced guide you helps tremendously

Tips on looting bodies? Loo I know it sounds stupid, but like 90% of the kilos I get on pmcs I don’t even get to loot. Feel like they are always in a bad spot

I mean, it depends what you are going for when you kill someone (eg very open) you could tactically use a smoke grenade if thats what happens the moast. But typically i dont have any issues when killing and looting people.

If they're in a bad spot you could drop your backpack, rig, and make sure you have a slot for an extra weapon. Then run up to the body and equip everything, then run to safety to check it.

So, first thing you need to do is to check the common angles that people like be at or angles that you think someone might be at. Example of this is this sniper spot at Customs, that you need to should check if your looting out in the open. This is important, because I've killed players who didn't check these angles, whether it's cuz they didn't think about it or got lazy.

The second, quickly loot their pockets first, then grab their gear, guns, helmet, etc. You wanna loot the pockets first because it's not something that you can quickly grab, unlike a rig, so do that if you can. Don't spend too much time looting, that's gonna get you killed. Take what you can and leave. If that means leaving behind some loot that you think is valuable, so be it.

There isn't an easy way to do this, best you can do is keep searching and hope for the best.

Me personally, I always scav Lighthouse because it's so easy to get good ammo, attachments, and gear there. I've also scav'd Reserve for leftover guns from the Marked rooms to get money/free weapons, but I wouldn't recommend that as a serious money making method, as it requires luck and hoping those marked rooms are unlocked in the first place.

You can play around with all kind of builds and see if the weapon fits the needs u want to have. Important are ofc Ergonomics , Vertical&Horizontal Recoil aswell as the total weight. Scopes are personal preference and flashlights go from meta to functional (x400 is the most cost efficient laser+flash for example).

If you sell it from that screen, it sells it to fence. Which gives you the least amount of money. I would transfer it all, then keep quest / hideout items. And sell the rest to the proper vendors

omg i just had the greatest run ever, albeit the most anxiety filled

so the stairwell with the barbed wire, i was on the ground floor enterance when i had gotten into a gunfight with a stacked level 2..like really stacked

my arm blacked out and i had 2 health on my thorax so i went to loot him to heal but was met with like 5 pairs of steps around the ground floor stairs entrance

i picked up his backpack after i dropped mine, found a car, used it, and killed just a terrible amount of scavs

in total i left with like 3 blacked limbs, a car, 3 bandages, 2 esmarchs, and a few cheeses used up with this as the round evaluation

there is a bug with edit preset where it cannot buy some stuff

you have to buy it manually

also, if you build from preset, always buy the stock weapon manually, otherwise it will try to buy the stuff that comes with the stock weapon separately

Depends on your budget. You don t need to buy super good staff, because you will spend a quite a lot. As a weapon use 5.56 MDR, you just need a scope and handle or submachine gun like SR2M MCX, MPX. Armor just cheapest t4 Armor, choose one with less debuffs to your movement

Headphones GSH or M32, the cheapest ones. TBH you still have difference between every Headphone that you can meet in the game, but it is not that significant.
