-If you want to guarantee profit, you can always enter the cycle of scavving and offline-PMCing/Practice Mode while your scav is on cooldown. Scavving can only make you money. Practice mode is great for learning maps, learning loot runs, and getting good at killing scavs and scav bosses, and other core mechanics like hipfire. It's literally impossible to lose any money doing this, so it just stacks up while you learn a lot
-Stop running everywhere - sprinting is very loud and gives you away, it provides a lot of opportunity to ambush you. Whenever you're in high-traffic areas, be very disciplined about when you sprint.
-Have a goal in mind every raid, plan a route and try to stick roughly to it. If you notice a route failing 3 times in a row, change your route. This makes it easier to keep track of which routes actually work and which are reliably dangerous.
-Positioning is everything. In combat, frequently reposition, map knowledge is critical. Pick your fights, don't be afraid to retreat
-The first 5-7 minutes are the most dangerous. Don’t try to push for a task or cross the map too early. Hunker down or loot near your spawn, and let things get a little more predictable.
-Ammo is more important than guns, but you need to know how to use what ammo you have. High damage vs High penetration is a critical difference - double click on the rounds to see the values.
-Learn from every death, there's almost always a lesson, recording them and watching them back really helps improve
-Most importantly, have fun with it - don't be afraid to take a break if it's frustrating you too much

Can hear but my voice doesn’t get picked up. Green light does not flash when speaking.

The easiest, zeroest loss way is to go to Woods in Offline mode with a map open either on your phone or a second monitor if you have one, https://mapgenie.io/tarkov/maps/woods this one is the most easily readable that I've found.

Do a few offline runs, looking around for landmarks and orienting yourself that way. The best landmark is of course the middle where Shturman spawns. I'd also recommend learning how to navigate to the USEC camp in the north west and the Scav Town in the north east, as well as the plane crash site and Mil Camp.

USEC for gun parts and ammo, some meds.
Scav Town for lots of Food and some Valuables spawns.
Plane Crash because you need to get to it for the Jaeger first mission as well as the valuables that can be in the plane and along the crash line.
Mil Camp for the abundance of medical spawns and crates to loot.

If you want to risk it, you can also check for the 3 Violet and 1 Yellow card spawns.

Can someone quickly explain to me how the ammo system works? I get penetration, i get the dmg, but what is the stat that you only see on the wiki? The %armor penetration? I got killed with blunt damage in a raid recently and in only 2 shots, why would you use high pen ammo when you can simply kill with blunt?

u cant just kill with blunt without dumping a ton of bullets and at that point u already broke their armor and starting penetrating it

full hp pmc will not die to blunt damage through armor in 2 shots, something else must have happened

Yo. Just bought the game after years not playing it, to play pve with my friends. Had to reset password because I couldnt remember it. Reset it fine. Then I downloaded the launcher, and it asks me for a verification email, which seemingly never gets to my outlook address. I can't even install the game I just paid for. Some advice online tipped towards resetting the password (again). Tried that but no, this time around I don't receive the email from bsg either. Can anyone help me wizard this out ?

Before anyone asks, I received all emails from bsg beforehand, even the one confirming my purchase, and the one for the first email reset. Junk box is empty. eft noreply is whitelisted. no, all guns with the FIR symbol say that, it doesnt mean they are eligible to be handed in just that they are the right gun to use for the quest, when you put a non FIR part on it u wont see the symbol again

I mean doesn't the main gun part have to be found in raid, because its saying the one I found in raid can be used for the quest but the gun that I got insured back to me doesn't say that it can be handed in so doesn't that mean for this specific one the gun has to be found in raid? Because I'm missing alot of parts to make the Your Ex the right gun following the wiki

Hi guys, I've got a few hours into this game, however I've been playing in a party of 2-3 for the majority of this game and looking to attempt solos, however with no real experience of it, is there any good tips people can pass on for soling to get quests done and (hopefully) dodge pmcs a lil bit more? I know it's mostly map knowledge for the most part but i think my issues is knowing hotspot areas?

Knowing hotspot areas comes down to map knowledge aswell I guess. But its pretty easy for example customs being dorms/around fortress

Solo is def best to play when you wanna get quests done quickly in my experience. Everything you hear / see is an enemy, you get all the loot, you get all the kills etc etc

learn where the PMCs spawns. it will hugely help to avoid unexpected encounters on the beginning of the raid. Woods, customs and shoreline are good start points to learn this

that is due to picture in picture scopes

everytime you use an optic it will render the image twice which needs more computing power and therefore tanks your fps or cause stutter/lag if ur pc is shit

yes you can see the spawns on these sites also on tarkov wiki maps. 100% recommend learning it. it will help a lot to know what to do in the beginning of the raid. to avoid or to engage nearby pmcs. it also will help to prepare yourself from players who rush in nearby spawns

Yes it helps tremendously with the strength and endurance training, you can also add someone with a gym and use their gym if you dont have one

Only way to know is to check every item on the wiki for how many you need for the hideout and for quests, we don't know where in the progression you are so it's hard to tell.
I'd start with getting rid of all but one multitool tho, the raven loot lord and prokill if you aren't going for kappa this wipe and craft the fuel cans in the lavatory into a magazine case.
