I’m cautious bringing them in because I read on a wiki that the mark can be re obtained by a mission which is apparently unavailable to UE owners?

couple questions, first though, is I just reinstalled the game (having had played for about 4 hours in the past with some friends who couldn't teach well), for some reason when I try to enter factory (the only map I know even a little) I get killed within less than a minute of spawning (legit cannot leave the spawn as I die right away), my question is, is there anyway to actually be able to leave the spawn without being killed? I want to loot and explore a bit, but the fact I die with in just seconds of spawning makes it impossible to play.

factory is really pvp intensive, its a really small map so all the spawns are close to each other, as you play more you'll learn the spawns or you can use the wiki

from that u can select different parts and change them, play around with it and try to understand, another thing. Some stuff will be locked behind trader level and quests.

If you want to guarantee profit, you can always enter the cycle of scavving and offline-PMCing/Practice Mode while your scav is on cooldown. Scavving can only make you money. Practice mode is great for learning maps, learning loot runs, and getting good at killing scavs and scav bosses, and other core mechanics like hipfire. It's literally impossible to lose any money doing this, so it just stacks up while you learn a lot
-Stop running everywhere - sprinting is very loud and gives you away, it provides a lot of opportunity to ambush you. Whenever you're in high-traffic areas, be very disciplined about when you sprint.
-Have a goal in mind every raid, plan a route and try to stick roughly to it. If you notice a route failing 3 times in a row, change your route. This makes it easier to keep track of which routes actually work and which are reliably dangerous.
-Positioning is everything. In combat, frequently reposition, map knowledge is critical. Pick your fights, don't be afraid to retreat
-The first 5-7 minutes are the most dangerous. Don’t try to push for a task or cross the map too early. Hunker down or loot near your spawn, and let things get a little more predictable.
-Ammo is more important than guns, but you need to know how to use what ammo you have. High damage vs High penetration is a critical difference - double click on the rounds to see the values.
-Learn from every death, there's almost always a lesson, recording them and watching them back really helps improve
-Most importantly, have fun with it - don't be afraid to take a break if it's frustrating you too much.

Hey i just started playing, very dumb question.... how do i tell PMCs from SCAVs? I saw some yt tutorials but they didnt help... things like "if they look dirty" or their "boots are this or this" but i need something more general or quick.
Yesterday i got confused and had to go on 7 scav skilling spree when one of them looked "too tactical" or something... i only found out they were scavs on the death screen

PMCs have helmets more and bigger bags

player scavs will be cocky af, they'll be running around everywhere - you can just hit f1 to voiceline and they'll talk back
if you start hearing someone who is creepin, really taking their time and aiming at everything, that's almost always a PMC
if you hit f1 and he doesn't voiceline back, thats the confirmation
bot scavs are obvious cause they're bots

you can use bags and gear as an identifier, but i can tell you right now your gonna shoot a lot of scavs who have just killed a pmc or looted well, not a good indicator

Thanks... ive had some intersting games so far, i tried to shoot i think a pmc yesterday with a sniper, it jammed, i didnt know how to clear it, so asked him over comms and he helped me out.
Then i tried to get off the second story building and broke both my legs, was too weak and slow to extract.
Another time i got assigned a quest by a PMC - very kitted guy at least, and me and another guy had to go find an airdrop he gave us, we looked around the storage depot running around for 10mins before we gave up and extracted

Those being my first 2 games i was shocked when i got into ground 0 and died like 5x
