You can always right click "filter by item" and see if the price on flea is similar to what it sells for, then your only loosing the fea

I haven't found any way to tell scav from pmc, the description of scav says dog eat dog, kill each other, BUT I'm loosing rep with Fence when I do. If I wait for them to fire first, I generally loose.
So my scav runs I avoid killing entirely, stick to edge of map avoiding npcs entirely.
Any suggestions / tips in this regard?

Shoreline has more than 1 (just like woods) that are right next to eachother. In those cases it's best to start slow to be safe then move on with raid

If running to extract is your problem, that is mostly just unfortunate

usually, people have a problem getting the pickup items on ground zero, then getting out.

In either case, what i recommend is the following>

One, abuse the underground section. Learn how to move around there, which path leads where, etc.
Second, this will be a big help for you, wait. Just, literally find a chill place to sit around, listen to gunfire, assume who is where doing what fighting who, and when 10/15/20 minutes have passed, you then carefully make your way to your quests.

This will make it so you are encountering way less players. First 10 minutes, 2 people die. Next 10, the people who killed the others loot them, head for extract or hang around to loot. Next 10 minutes, 80% of people are either out of your raid or dead. @undone kestrel

I need some input. I was holding off trying streets because I knew performance might be an issue for me. I tested now and it goes between 40-70. 70 is no issue, dipping down to 40 is though. When I use an optic it's gonna be worse. Since quests will inevitably take me to streets I'm considering if I should keep playing or wait until I've upgraded.

Might be a problem with your internet provider/connection/local tarkov server. Or could be an issue of your pc lagging due to too much load on cpu or something and the server interprets that as losing conection to your pc and gives that. It happens to me only ocasionally and only on streets cause it tge most demanding map

I had a lot of those problems before i changed internet provider and got my pc hooked up via cable to the router

Yea, tarkov is notoriously cpu heavy and i sometimes need to close everything including discord to load into streets

You can use bcp fmj with ok sucess, not everyone is weari g lvl4 helmets yet and it has some chance to pen those

it will keep going up as the wipe goes on as more and more people build the btc farm - they should go down if btc price drops though

tbf 100k of a difference (just an example) aint much, better to buy then now and start mining bitcoin than wait 10 days for them to be 100k cheaper and lose like 6mil because you werent mining them for those 10 days

the price will also go down near the end of the wipe (people already bought them and dont need them) but again, waiting will just lose you money on the btc you couldve been mining

Lighthouse usec cottage garage is not that uncommon, you can also find it in the southwest parts of reserve and in some of the locked rooms in the garage buildings near no backpack extract

But probably counting on getting it from cultist circke and scav case in hideout isnt that bad of a bet either

Its the only map where you will only meet people below lvl 20 if you yourself are below lvl 20. That doesnt make it an easy map and you will die a lot if youre not locked in and playing it well

Learn the spawns of PMCs and pay attention to them - either push them or avoid them, but know where they are

The problem is that I want to complete a task by killing 3 pmcs and it’s been three days and I’m just getting killed. I don’t feel at advantage even if I fire on a pmc when he is not seeing me. He just simply turn around and tap me and I’m at the lobby

Movement is more important then aim in this game and map knowledge helps you move more efficient

No it’s a mission of killing 7 pmc and getting their dog tags. I killed 4 and the remaining three are remaining. The xp reward is 12,000 xp points. I’m doing everything to reach lvl 15 but can’t survive 10 mins in a raid

i think the most important mistake is: predictability

Spawn pvp is part of the game. Expirienced players will push spawns close to them.
Learn the spawns of a map and act accordingly: either avoid, wait for them or push them

and also players who are looking for pvp, know where other spawns are and therefor where players are likely to head and then intercept with pvp

If you are not that spawn, prepare to smoke them out or avoid it entierly

for instance, I don't push spawns off rip, but rather look for spawns near and where they are going, if on a loot run I might look to intercept.. on a quest run I move a little and take it slow
