Group up in this discord for strenght in numbers to complete tasks. Scav a bunch for little risk loot and to learn the maps.
When you're in a losing streak walk away from tarkov for a while, getting frustrated will cause more losses. Go do something else for a bit to clear your head then continue.

those extracts along with car extracts give you .25 rep for the first time you do each one, then half for every next one, so .25, .12, .6, etc until its .01

setting your own controls is a good place to start, as you play a raid youll realize the keybinds are kind of awkward intially so you need to be able to customize them to your preference. No 'good' player is using default keybinds
if you want to run a raid I can run one with you but I dont want to be explaining what meds you need to heal yourself in the middle of a gunfight. You need to have an idea already, hence the youtube videos.

It might take a few tries but it shouldnt be too difficult if you just keep your distance and go to places where you have a large open view of the scavs.

Armor works in 10s per armor tier vs the ammo hitting it. so 40 pen will guaranteed pen tier 4, pretty simple. soft armor or the aramid backing is the non replaceable part of an armor and is usually tier 2 maybe 3, then the plate is the hard armor that is replaceable. any armor has damage reduction and will reduce the damage taken even if its penetrated. if it doesnt pentrate, you will either take little or no damage depending on the round fired, and the armor itself will sustain % damage, which reduces the armors tier by whatever % is missing out of 100% durability. meaning a tier 2 armor at 50% dura is only tier 1. anything else you need to know?

I appreciate your explanation and ill have to look at the chart below as well, what I’m thinking about trying is a ash-12 with ps12a. It’s the highest damage rifle round (164) that’s readily available but lacks pen ( a whopping 10). But with such a high RD would the blunt force be substantial.

If the bullet does not penetrate, "blunt damage" is applied, which lets through a % of the base damage of the bullet to the body part hit. This % is based on the specific armor's "blunt throughput" stat, the penetration value of the ammo, and the armor's class and remaining durability %. If there is soft armor between hard armor and the body, the blunt damage gets decreased. Blunt damage is very low and usually not a notable factor in time to kill.

Just a heads up, if you wanna bruteforce through armor, tge best rounds at this are flechette and piranha buckshot rounds

id recommend 8.5 magnum. it doesnt go thru armor, but its spread and damage are invaluable since one pellet to the face is a kill, and aiming at legs is totally viable with a semi auto

thats a gross oversimplification and not at all true. while the dura is a decent guideline its not 100% accurate. and ”guaranteed pen at 10:1 pen vs class” is wrong. 10:1 is usually when you hit the 90% mark. a halved dura uptier (40 pen vs class 5 for example) is usually when you hit the 50-60% pen chance mark

its a simplification, idk about gross. and the 10 x armor tier does = the ammos pen, maybe i worded it wrong, but its absolutely true. and then the corresponding pen to armor tier being a guaranteed pen is also true. i said 40 to tier 4 is guaranteed, not 40 to 5, which is not guaranteed

Can anyone help me out, ive tried playing arena but i keep getting "high packet loss" issues and lag out. I can play lierally everything else and ive tried getting a router, ethernet, and even upgrading my plan. Nothing has worked and it seems its just arena where i get high packet loss issues

40 pen to tier 4 is when you hit about 90% pen chance, not guaranteed. and saying a half dura armor is like a full dura armor of a 1 class lower is also wrong. as a half dura t4 armor is when a 30 pen round reaches around 50% pen chance (similar for other tiers, like 40pen vs t5 armor)

I have looted a Shotgun Remington 870 as a scav, I need it for the gunsmith part 5 but I can’t afford it from Prapor cause I only have LL2 with him.

I then modified the M870 for the gunsmith part 5, but it’s doesn’t work even with all the good parts, is it because of the Prapor LL?
