doing the quests at ground zero with all the snipers and mines is kind of a pain, i have been learning on practice mode to not lose any gear atm. plus learning the full keyboard controls layouts

I learned on customs but there are many choke points and no guarantee of no pvp

Personally, avoid customs as much as you can (you need to do pocket watch and those…) and linear maps in general. Avoid reserve as extractions as PMC are HELL. And also avoid factory obviously. I enjoyed as hell interchange when I was noob but is very personal. It is normal to feel that way, just also use your SCAV and try to loose that intital PVP fear. You will die A LOT untile you eventually win some fights and that is it buddy.

Do you have any tips for learning new maps? Yesterday it was my first time at Streets and it was hell:DD No idea where I was, not able to locate myself for the most time, not even thinking about completing quests and surviving:D I was going naked, cheap pistol only. The bad thing is I cant usually beat more than 2 scavs. No protection means swift death even to scavs. Do you take the most expensive gear even to a new map, or you go many times naked runs with almost no money spent, but also just a really small chance to live a decent time..?

Yea, if you abandon before the raid started its normal to get your gear back. If the raid started without you and then you confirm leave then you lose your stuff. At least thats what i gather from my experiemce

Getting skier 2 is not too hard i believe in you. Also sometimes scavs have them on their aks74u when they have it with the pt-1 stock. You could go to factory as scav and see if any of the other playerscavs have that build and potentially trade. I did that for a few parts i needed. You could also try to hunt tagilla as he has an aksu with that pt lock on it quite often

We can answer specific questions, but "how do i get good" is just play, play, play. Learn from mistakes.

-If you want to guarantee profit, you can always enter the cycle of scavving and offline-PMCing/Practice Mode while your scav is on cooldown. Scavving can only make you money. Practice mode is great for learning maps, learning loot runs, and getting good at killing scavs and scav bosses, and other core mechanics like hipfire. It's literally impossible to lose any money doing this, so it just stacks up while you learn a lot
-Stop running everywhere - sprinting is very loud and gives you away, it provides a lot of opportunity to ambush you. Whenever you're in high-traffic areas, be very disciplined about when you sprint.
-Have a goal in mind every raid, plan a route and try to stick roughly to it. If you notice a route failing 3 times in a row, change your route. This makes it easier to keep track of which routes actually work and which are reliably dangerous.
-Positioning is everything. In combat, frequently reposition, this is just one of the reasons map knowledge is critical and should be built and practiced ASAP. Pick your fights, don't be afraid to retreat
-Ammo is more important than guns, but you need to know how to use what ammo you have. High damage vs High penetration is a critical difference - use an ammo chart.
-Learn from every death, there's almost always a lesson, recording them and watching them back really helps improve
-Most importantly, have fun with it - don't be afraid to take a break if it's frustrating you too much.

if you go in a single raid and find a led x, that's RNG. Anyone could do that after x amount of attempts.
If you end up finding 0.2 led x's on average per raid, that's skill.

Same goes for this. 30 bullets of igolnik isn't going to do you much good if you just throw it into a 30 rounder and die after 30 sec.
What I will do is to ration those 30 rounders out over multiple raids, chances of me randomly stumbling upon some more is pretty decent.
That way I can run around in every single raid always having an igolnik in my chamber ready to knock you dead on the ground, regardless of level.

personally i only think the last one is worth cause of the good standing with all traders, the second one just gives more stash space and some bonus starting items like 500 (euros or dollars dont remember) and some others stuff (that personally dont think are that worth it) and now u can just buy a stash expansion alone and it will be cheaper than the second package
