so shooting is generally best for any boss

LVL 9 here still trying to do pocket watch, honestly its a struggle rn trying to even get the key rn, dorms is always packed with people, should I just wait till I hit lvl 15 to open up flea before attempting again or just wait till next wipe to attempt tasks?

doing other quests till 15 is an option, so is waiting until the last 15 or so minutes of a raid to go to a hotspot like that. You could also join a squad running customs, but quitting the wipe won't help you in any way and won't make next wipe any easier either.

310 is a decent key, but you'll have to go in with a purpose and be prepared to hunt for Sanitar

Pier spawn you wanna have a scope, the other ones you can play the terrain against Sanitar - have nades to move him and guards around

if you don't task you'll have a worse time progressing than if you did. You will also not unlock a lot of competitive gear you get through quests.

There should be other tasks for you to do. I don't do key quests until I get level 15 generally, unless the opportunity presents itself because im too lazy

To add to that, the machinery key will most likely not be touched - you can also scav in on customs and pick up that key to put on your PMC and head directly for the truck afterwards.

there's now some quests that you can't buy the keys off flea for though, those you have to do now. i provided alternatives to get it done, those are what works for me

I can attempt that and see how that goes, Unfortunately my quests rn are stuck at Customs or Woods and woods I get to where I need but usually run into somoene when extracting, customs is just an active map

That's generally how it is for everyone. But the idea is to just keep going. If you do a quest 10 times, chances are one of those 10 raids you won't see anybody. You have a greater chance of success too if you learn from each death, and try to not repeat the same mistake that got you killed before. That can be routing, timing, choosing to take a fight vs hiding, ect

try it aggressive, try it slow, try it early, try it late, try it day and if that doesnt work try it night. that is levelling in tarkov

I usually avoid engagements at all costs atm while questing, last raid I got exit camped trying to finish therapist extract, kinda made me a bit upset unmotivated to do quests, but that is Tarkov right?

I dunno if you already do this, but one thing I do that brings me a lot of success is that I only do one thing per raid. So either its a PVP raid, a loot raid, or a quest raid. This minimizes time wasted - for example you spend 15 minutes looting then you go do your quest and die, that quest just took 15 minutes longer. I prefer to just die in 5 minutes and try the quest 3 times in 15 minutes.

some people don't like playing that way though

the less time youre in raid the less likely you are to die though
