Factory would definitely be the fastest. Just sprint to the nearest spawn(s) / gunfire. If after 4-5 minutes you are still alive and don't have any clues that there are more pmcs to chase down, extract and re-queue.
But you can definitely go to other maps as well and just pick their hot spots (after checking any nearby spawn areas).

Not sure if fall damage / barbed wire counts. I think people used to do that to grind the skill, but idk if it still works.

But ya I guess you could probably get a friend (if you ever play with friends) to shoot you in the limbs and let you heal up a bunch. Just bring in a grizzly and do it for the first ~5 minutes of the raid (though be careful of other pmc's running towards the shooting).

Between assholes sitting in some building at some window,, and ai scavs that are cracked out of their fucking minds blowing you up with a gl from two blocks away, how the hell is anybody supposed to quest on that map? Its bullshit. Take a step onto the street? Headshot. Take a step near lexos? Get ready for a rain of nades. Get a bit too close to the marked room, or the factory area in general, well? I got a performance question. Im running tarkov on i7 11700k, rtx 3090, ddr 32gb 3200mhz, m2 ssd yet im still only getting around 40-60 fps (drops to 40) on streets and around 60-80 on other maps. My cpu usage is around 30-40%, single core peaks to 25-30%, my gpu usage is around 25-40%, currently running on high details since I noticed it being better but still the 40 fps drops on streets make it unplayable, other maps around 60-80 are fine as I dont notice it at all (atleast any lagspikes), running 2k monitors

depends on knowledge and servers, as an average street scav myself, often avoiding fights and looting the odd places i get around 500k on a bad gear spawn ( no backpack or tiny vest ) and 1m on a fast good loadout spawn

Got it, I was told running lighthouse was dumb by some Street mains although it's about 1-2m per 10-15m, they refused to strea m their 3-4m per run STreet run which takes only 8m so I suspect they were just lying to brag.

I started this wipe too, scavving the maps you want to learn is a really good way to get familiar with them, take note where the scavs roam, because that's usually where they will always be

Once you get the hang of it and if you think it's something you'll play a lot, i highly recommend investing in the better version of the game, the bigger secure pouch is super nice

I think one of the draws of tarkov is that both of the playstyles you described are in fact playing tarkov like it was intended. And even better you can play them both interchangably. You shoukd really try, more variety in gameplay is i think a good thing

The point about gear fear is real. It blocks a lot of players. Ive had that on my first wioe too before overcoming it. That said theres also a lot of people who go into raids looking only to pvp then lose all their money end up with a 16% survival rate conclude tge game is trash. Reset their account do that again and not play untill next wipe. (One of my friends is like that) i think he could use at least a little bit of gear fear in his life to be honest

I will blow 10m on kits in prob 2 hours sometimes over bad luck, make it back in 2h and then earn other players kits and at end of day my money/inventory looks the same.

-going into raids with sole intention of finding pvp
-doing everything to not pvp

While in reality tgeres an infinite spectrum of playstyles in between i think most players including me go into raids to do something in them, be it pvp quest making money or something and whatever happens along the way im taking head on. So most players become good at pvp by just getting pvp organically in their raid swithout going out of their way to look for it and thats a totalky valid way to learn it as well

We in a hugely tac mil sim game where 99% of the focus is on guns, especially compared to other games, you have a raid timer and get EXP for certain things.

I don't like the playstyle argument because I can say sitting in the starting Dungeon in Skyrim is my plastyle, and to a point you can use this as copout.

If you are playing Tarkov and can't progress in any of the ingame systems, you'll eventually quit.

But that is also why without being good at PVP there are ultra meta cheese strats and people commonly band together as 5 man on AFrica etc in Factory to get tasks done

If you go this far over a game you considering yourself casual on and having fun, you already went way too far

late reply but I normally don't run kits that are on the expensive side unless it's a task I have to do that requires a weapon or this or that... I think having good ammo, a basic sight, and a repaired gun can take you far. Also I recommend doing fast factory scav runs. Like don't even really loot much, just autosell stuff you won't use, and extract by camera/steel door in basement.

I've found that cheaters tend to seek you out more often if you have good gear so I wouldn't spend hundreds of thousands on a kit every match personally...

I like to hit cottage safes, jump into gas station safe and get pier safes if they seem safe and then weather station safe. Its a way longer route than yours so might try this shorter one

Ground zero is the place to be for a beginner, thats where starter quests are and the only people who can play it are players below lvl 20 so you wont get too many super geared oponents

For loadouts make sure to always buy a headset for every raid. Very important. As for guns you can get at lvl 1 the smgs arent a bad choice. You dont have acess to any good guns or ammo that can penetrate armor in any serious way but the smgs at least fire fast enough to make it more likely to score a face hit. I like the kedr from prapor but maybe youll find your own gun type you prefer

if you’re not playing pmc, you are leveling your scav
