So that question is very complex, because my opinion is at the start of wipes (forst month) you should push hard for max traders aand a few key quest but then you are sort of Set in my opinion and caan play and learn to your hearts content.

Scopes and optics become more prevlant and combat becomes longer range mostly (or more likely) then the first 2 weeks

Im also a strong beleive that at the end of the day Tarkov is a sandbox game - set your goals and aaim for them (max traders, light keeper, kappa, SR whatever)

Also, the most important gear\resource is your position and intel on an enemey durring an engagment, there is aa reason player scavs kill Chads sometimes, we get over confidence.

Best advice I can give you is to try to find a large group in the looking for group channel. Ideally a five stack pmc. If you do that, your chances of success are a lot higher because there are only so many PMC spawns in a game

Early on your best options are:
9mm guns like the Saiga-9 or MP5 have no recoil, they do no damage so you have to aim for the face, but they can be great laser beams
Mosin from Prapor with SP BT is great if you like bolt actions,
KEDR or PPSH are both good for close-range high-damage guns you can spray legs or face with.
You can always go super cheap with the double-barrel. 5.25 buckshot is the best and only shotgun round worth running early on, aim at the face.
AKS-74UB is unlocked after Prapors debut quest, easy to mount optics and tac devices but you have no good ammo to buy for it. Good 5.45 is easy to find (PP, BP, BT, BS) though it's easy to go for headshots with bad ammo.

I went on woods several times last night with an iron sights mosin and the best ammo i had (BT GZH first, then FMJ, then SP BT) to find ai scavs. I had one run that was definitely desync - firing shots at head and body and scavs don't react, and sat aiming at me but repeatedly missing too. But I had more runs where it just wasn't registering for damage and they were killing me. I can aim. What am i missing (apart from scavs)?

I usually have bullets in my pouch then move them to harness or bag to load manually into the mosin, then put the stack back in the pouch. i had at least one run where i spawned with them in the harness to begin with in case the pouch was causing a bug

They sell out 30 seconds after resetting so you have to camp flea refresh just fyi

its the type of crash that will freeze my screen but allow me to continue audio playing until about 5 seconds crash, then unity will pop up and freeze my whole computer for about half a minute before asking if i wanna send a crash report

I had runs I accidently killed a scav and lost 0.10, last raid I saw 2 heavily geared players so I assumed right away they are PMC but both were scavs. I only lost 0.09 because i exteacted

how do you manage your ammo? eft-ammo is a life saver but theres so many types and you find so much random stuff when you loot. i always worry im dumping something really good and end up with a stash full of crap that i need to go through stack by stack with eft-ammo open again. print the good ones out and stick them on your monitor?
