2 grenades are probably enough for your first raid, the spare ammo comes into your secure container
the pockets you should move the vaseline into your secure container
the backpack you should probably just empty completely and put one splint into your secure container if you want

Red flare are worth to use, if it is worth taking it out of the raid and then using it or using it directly depends on how you like to play the game.
There is a 20 minute cooldown period between airdrops which is indicated by a "Wait for arrival! Airspace is congested" notification in the bottom right corner of the screen when trying to call one too early after another. The aidrop will arrive after the cooldown is over.

There aren’t any in-game tutorials but there are definitely tutorial videos you can find online, those’ll help you with learning the more complicated systems of the game! There’s an offline mode you can try to learn the maps and fight AI without any risk of losing your stuff (though you won’t make any progress on quests, leveling up, etc), I’d recommend trying that out on the “Ground Zero” and “Customs” maps before you do a live raid!

If you play as scavenger other scavenger (npc) are your friends, you can still kill them, but you should not do so. If you play as pmc (private military contractor, that is your main-char), everybody is your enemy.

Basically, Tarkov has 3 fundamentals.

1. Navigating the map and extracting.
2. Fighting.
3. Looting.
   If you are new the most important step is to learn 1, there is no point in trying focus on 2 or 3, if you can't do 1.
   Your goal should be to spawn and navigate to an extract. If you manage to do that you are already winning.
   To help with that you should open a map for the map you are running on your second monitor (or phone), best are interactive maps that you can find on the tarkov wiki.
   Just walking around the map will be already very deadly as pmc, but your goal is to play pmc as often as you can. Since the end goal is to be able to do quests as pmc.
   So you should alternate between playing scav and pmc and use the scav gear on your pmc until you can do point 1.

Remember as Scav other Scav are your "friends". Npc-Scavs will never shoot you. But other player Scavs can kill you. If you kill or shoot another scav (who is not a bad-scav/scav-killer). All Npc-Scavs will turn hostile and shoot you.

@wet gust on ground zero, you’ll see a lot of company signs outside and inside of buildings, this map might help you figure out where you are based on the signs! Also as a scav, your most viable extracts are “Emercom Checkpoint” and “Nakatani Basement”, I’ll find a video that shows where they are exactly in a second 👍

Woods is the easiest map in the entire game, the only thing about Woods is understanding were you spawned, if you mastered that, you are on a good way to master the map. Woods is hard to navigate but easy to survive.
